My palms are sweating and my body is shaking as I jump up and down. Jack walks up to me and pats my back twice. “Good luck, kid. You’ll be great,” he says. I nod my head as I am unable to speak. I hear roars ahead. The only thing separating me from the crowd ahead is a thin blue curtain.
A man in a pair of black jeans and a black jumper catches me by surprise as he sneaks up behind me. “Ally, you can go on as soon as you’re ready.” I nod again. The cheers and screams are growing louder as I near the stage. I take one last deep breath and pull the curtain to the side and step out onto the stage.
The venue is packed. It is sold out, afterall. I watch as the crowd holds up signs, shout chants, and screams. I lift my microphone to my face and begin to speak.
“Hello everyone!” I shout. The crowd screams in reply. “Welcome to the first show of the Down The Hill tour,” I continue “Are you guys ready?” The crowd continues to roar like one large lion. As the lights lower so do the shouts. Suddenly, green strobes of light flash across the theatre as the music intro to my first single begins. I sing. I sing and sing and I sing.
The show was amazing. The crowd roared the whole time as I sing in response. There are four thousand fans in the theatre, each one of them singing my lyrics back to me.
When I went to my first concert of Dad’s, I wondered how he felt on stage. How does it feel to have thousands of people singing with you? How does it feel to step before a curtain and glimpse out at people who are all chanting your name? I could answer this question now. Amazing. Simply amazing…
The post-show party was wonderous. I sat with Carmen and Brie at a table. Both will be on tour with me in addition to all my makeup crews, Jack, all of the staff in the company, and possibly Jenna for the shows in her area.
This party was far more slow than the previous staff parties such as the one when my EP was released. Tonight we are all just playing music and talking with anyone we can find. I am tired, though. Because of this, I go back to the hotel early with Carmen. He and I have rooms beside each other.
We walk through the lobby together. Because of the hotel being down the road from the theatre, I am stopped by multiple fans as I walk to my room. Thankfully, no fans follow me to my room. Because I want to be safe, though, I walk to Carmen’s room to stay with him for a bit of time. He and I sit on the small loveseat in front of the telly together. We watch none other than Doctor Who on BBC. I attempt at making small talk. Despite him and I being very close, I am still very socially awkward.
“So, Uh, Carmen. How’s Sophie?” I inquire.
Carmen waits a minute to reply. “Well, we broke up about three weeks ago…”
“Oh, well I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine, really,” Carmen can obviously sense the nerves in my eyes. “I dumped her. I had my eyes on someone else…” He begins to scoot closer to me. I giggle with a confused look on my face. I scoot back. He leans in and places his large masculine hands upon my shoulders. “It’s you, Ally. Ever since I saw you on the XFactor, I have loved you.” His voice grows quieter as I stare into his deep hazel eyes. He leans in close and places his lips on mine.
Our mouths move in perfect rhythm as we kiss passionately. I pull away quickly after only a few seconds. No. This is wrong.
“Carmen?” I ask with a lack of breath. “What was that… What are we doing?”
“Kissing, Ally. I love you. You love me back. Admit it.” He demands.
“I just... well... uh.... I don’t know, alright!” I stand from the couch, run out of his room, and enter my own.
I am out of breath and confused. What am I doing? I don't know. Why am I here... I can't do this tour. I can't even kiss a boy without messing up.
I begin panicking. I quickly pack my bag and walk down to the front desk. I speak to the man standing behind a computer. "Sir, could I please have another room. I am in 17C, but I would like to be on another floor. Please?
He types something onto his PC. "Miss, it looks as if 17C is the only suite avalible. Many apologies."
"Give me the smallest room you have. Just please move me."
He continues typing. "7A is avalible. Here is the key. May I have your old one?"
I exchange keys with him and run to the new room. It is much smaller, but farther from Carmen.
I colapse onto the bed. I'm not fit to be on tour. I can't do this.
