(( Surprise update since I won't update next weekend! I'm going to Playlist Live and I will be busy from early Saturday morning until late Sunday night!!! Thanks for 30k reads <3 ))
“Alexandra Tomlinson,” I hear my headmaster shout into a microphone. I quickly flatten my gown and march out onto the stage to accept the sheet of paper that is my college diploma. I shake his hand and accept the sheet of paper. Today is my college graduation… Today is an amazing day. I walk off the stage and join my peers in the bleachers. I graduated with a class of forty-seven students. Tomlinson comes as one of the last names in alphabetical order, therefore I only watch seven kids receive their diploma after me. After we are all joined at the bleachers, we rose from our seats and do what we had all waited to do.
I reached up to my head and ripped my graduation cap from my head. I threw it up in the air with amazing force. I am a college graduate now.
I then form a group of all my friends and I and we say our ‘final goodbyes’. We are all parting different ways. Brie is headed to Uni in Ireland, I am staying here to pursue music, and many other of my friends are going to Uni in either the states or here in England. We all hugged each other and then said goodbye to each other for the last time.
I walked to the oak tree that is located in front of the stadium where graduation was held. That was where Dad told me to meet him after the ceremony. We are having a small party at the house where I invited multiple of my friends from the XFactor, the girls of Little Mix, and all of One Direction. 5 Seconds Of Summer’s Ashton Irwin was also on the list.
I saw dad standing beneath the golden leaves of the tree with mum beside him. I began running over to him and jumped up for a group hug with the two of them. The hug consisted of ‘congratulations’ and ‘I love you’s’. We then loaded into dad’s car and headed home to set for the party. By the time we got home, it was half past six. The party is set to begin at seven, So I ran upstairs to change into my outfit which consisted of both a short silver dress and silver flats. I then walked downstairs to get the food prepared. We’ll be serving simply pizza and desserts. I set out the soda and alcohol at the kitchen counter along with a pack of solo cups. At exactly 7:04, the doorbell rang.
I ran down the hall to answer it and I see Zayn, Perrie, and the other girls of Little Mix. “Congratulations, Ally!” They all cheered in unison. I hugged all of them and invited them into the lounge. At this point, I turned on the wireless speaker to play my music. The ‘Graduation Playlist’ consisted of The 1975, The Neighbourhood, Arctic Monkeys, Fall Out Boy, and Lana Del Rey; all of my favorite artists.
The doorbell was constantly ringing with guests. At half past seven, I ran to the door to answer it once more. Before me stood Carmen in suit and tie. “Hi, Ally… Can I speak to you outside?” He asked with a polite tone in his voice.
“Oh, okay. Sure…” I said as I stepped out my door to be with him.
“Ally, I want you to know that I am truly sorry about that night… I didn’t mean to kiss you… I know it was non consensual and wrong. I just hope we can move past this maybe? I would love to see you more often…” Carmen babbles on. I stand there with a confused face.
“Carmen, I respect your apology… I would love to stay with you…” I begin, “I’m sorry about that night, too. I was irrational. Thank you for coming, let’s go have fun!” Carmen followed me inside as I heard footsteps coming behind me. I hear a chorus of Australian voices chanting something that sounds like Congrats Grad! I turn around to see the boys of 5SOS behind me. I greet them enthusiastically, and then return to the party.
Just as Lana Del Rey’s ‘Summertime Sadness’ comes onto the speakers, Carmen approached me. His face was cherry red. He began to stutter, “Want to d-dance?” I chuckled at his expression and grabbed his shoulders as we slow-danced to an up-beat song.
Everybody says I am too young to know what love is. But love is when you know inside that you want to spend your every day with that person. Love is when you feel butterflies when he places his hands on you… I love Carmen...
Also at my party was Jenna. She approached me later in the evening to congratulate me. She expressed her own excitement to graduate in just about three years.
At three in the morning, the party finally draws to a close. I was nothing but exhausted and nearly collapsed on the couch. I stood by the door and say a farewell to the attendees. Unlike the others, Brie and Jenna were invited to stay the night. When everyone leaves, I invited them upstairs to my bedroom. I instructed them to stay and change into pajamas while I ran to the storage room to grab the two inflatable mattresses. I briskly walked back to my room while my dress flowed behind me and pushed the mattresses into the outlet. They quickly inflated, and I changed my outfit to lounge clothes. Jenna, Brie and I push the two queen mattresses together and coated them in pillows, blankets, and throws. We turned the telly on and began streaming Glee. The three of us were silent as we cast our eyes upon the screen.
Suddenly, Brie blurts out, “Can I tell you two something…” Her face is pale and she looks more nervous than I was at my XFactor audition.
“Sure, Brie. What is-” She cut me off with her announcement.
“I’m gay.” She shouts out suddenly. I am left speechless for a moment. Thank goodness Jenna was there with an immediate response.
“Wait- really? Congratulations for coming out… Do you uh… have a… girlfriend?” Jenna wonders.
“Yes, I have for some time now… I’m sorry I didn’t tell you earlier. Her name is Emilie. She’s in our school, Ally! She’s so nice, and I love her, and we’ve already kissed…” You could tell that Brie really loved her. She was going on and on about Emilie.
“I have a confession too… I’m dating Carmen!” I said when Brie completed her talk about her girlfriend. Brie and Jenna did not look shocked by this revelation.
“We all knew… You two have so much chemistry!” Jenna shouts. I giggle, as I knew it was pretty obvious.
We didn’t sleep that night. The three of us talked about everything we thought of; school, music, and the marathon of Glee that we were viewing.
I love my friends.

FanfictionAt sixteen years old, nobody expected Ally to get as far in life as she had gotten. The XFactor was a show for professionals... not a teenage girl from London. But is she willing to keep going, or will she throw it all away voluntarily? All rights...
