Chapter 14

"You did so good on the show, Ally." Said a familiar voice in a relaxed manner.

I looked over my shoulder to see her. Ms Carter.

"Thank you. I thought I did a good job as well. I just wish I tried harder my last week on the show. I wanted to exit with a bang." I responded.

I scanned the room. There were many people, but I was distracted by a small woman approaching me.

"Alexandra? Alexandra? It's me! Oh Al, I missed you so much!" The woman embraced me.

"Miss, who are you?" I asked. I was extremely confused.

"It is me! Your mother! Alexandra I missed you. How was life back on earth. Were you safe? Oh I have been so concerned."

"M-mum?" I asked, a tear trickling from the corner of my left eye. "Life was good... Wait... It isn't over yet. Is it?"

"Alexandra... This is Heaven..."

I burst into weeps at that phrase. Am I dead? What happened? Did I die in my sleep? I tried to think back but my last memory was gone.

What? Life is precious. I cannot get it back. I walked around some more. The floor and walls were white. There was a hospital like atmosphere here...

I stopped when I saw something below me.

Mum? Dad?

They were weeping beside a bed. A hospital bed. Where a girl lies lifeless. I listened to the doctor walking into the room.

"She's very lucky. She came head on with an eighteen Wheeler. Nobody but her was injured luckily, but she may never recover." He said.

Who is that girl?

The doctor pulled a sheet down from the patient and revealed a familiar face.

Mine.

I gasped once again and fell to my knees. I did that to myself. My body was in terrible condition.

I tried to calm myself down, but before I could, I saw black.
