A few days passed with no word back from the studio. Dad said this was normal, though. It could take a few weeks for them to get back to me, he said.
So I continued on my days as normal as possible. As if a giant record company was not listening to my voice, determining whether or not I was worthy of a record contract.
That Friday, I got home from school, and went straight to my room, and checked my email.
I had over three hundred emails between the spam, coupons, and friends from the show.
Speaking of the show, this week the top three were named. They happened to be Jenna, David, and this girl Bea, who I never really spoke to.
Bea is only fourteen. She has an amazing voice, though.
She also has bright blue hair. It's pretty awesome.
Nobody really knows who will win this year though. Every finalist is so good, I can't even pick a favorite.
Back to my mail, though.
I did an inbox search, and still received no news about my (possible) contract.
I did get an email from the producers of the XFactor, though. I opened that letter, and read through it.
Ally,
It's great to talk to you again! The set is so quiet without you :(
We are searching for performers for next week's finale, and we are planning on having every voted off contestant perform. All the others are in, we just need you.
Please email me back my tomorrow, as we will need you to come up to the studio to help pick a song and get in the show groove again.
Thanks,
Steph

I was ecstatic. I replied immediately that I was in, and then went downstairs to tell dad and mom about the news. They were almost as excited as me, so dad and I packed our bags.
We got in the car and drove up to the hotel where I stayed a few weeks ago while I was on the show. We quickly checked in and ran to our room, we unpacked, then left for the stage.
I ran into the performance hall, and saw my group standing on stage; Linny, Carolyn, and some other people I didn't recognize at first, but I realized they were Cole and Carmen, the top nine and ten. We all caught up on what happened in our lives, and then all sat down to discuss the song we would sing.
"What about something by Bastille?" Linny asked, mispronouncing the name as 'Bas-till'.
"I love them.... What about.... The Weight Of Living Part 1?" I recommended. "We could put a twist on it. I mean, we aren't being judged on it anyway!"
"I like that! How about acapella?" Carmen said with spunk in his tone.
"Yeah!" We all cheered simultaneously. We stood up and experimented a little. I began the first verse while the others did some harmony and background singing.
~
There's an albatross around your neck,
all the things you've said and the things you've done:
can you carry it with no regrets?
Can you stand the person you've become?
~
Then, Carmen joined me in singing.
~
Oh there's a light
Oh oh oh there's a light
~
Everyone sang the chorus then.
~
Your albatross, let it go, let it go.
Your albatross, shoot it down, shoot it down
when you just can't shake the heavy weight of living.
~
We rehearsed the rest of the song. We weren't practiced enough for full out acapella, so we had just a bit of the drums and acoustic guitar.
We sounded good, though. We were finale material.

Not much action in this chapter, but I feel the writing quality was good :)
I haven't actually updated in threeish weeks tho... Sorry. I was busy with shit.
If you read my 'Rants Of A Teenage Moron', you would know why I updated late.
Thanks for 8k on this book and 100 followers. Love you all!
