"Here's some food for Joseph." Salvador gave me some apple sauce. "Thank you." I said. "We should continue, should follow the train tracks?" I asked giving food to Joseph. "That's our only option." Salvador said. "How about sea." Pete suggested. "What do you mean?" marieli asked. "Well if go there, could be possibly if a boat is there." Pete continued.
We will see what comes up on the way. So we started to walk. There was nothing to be exact no new people, exactly nothing new. We been walking for about the past 5 weeks, a month.
"Gerardo, we been walking so long, what is the plan?" Esther said. "Honestly I don't know. What we should do." I said and continued walking. All of a sudden we ended up on a farm. "We should be careful, don't know what is expecting." I said "Luis come with me."
"The rest of you stay here and wait." I  took my bow and was ready to shoot.
"I don't like this Gerardo." Luis said to me nervously. "No one does." I responded. We were at the front door, I knocked, there was no one, but there was also a barn. We went inside and we saw a horse. Of course we took it.
Now months has passed by, Joseph was growing older, stayed for a while in an old restaurant. We slept there for the night. I was on guard duty, staying all night looking out. I heard a step. "Who's that?" I took my gun out. "Don't shoot, it's me April. "Oh, who's taking care of Joseph." I asked. "Luis, came here to keep you company." she said. "You don't have to." I said. "But I want to." she said. "Alright then." I said looking at the around for anything. "So, where exactly are we going?" she asked. "Honestly, I don't know yet, somewhere safe, not danger." I said. "Sounds good." she said. "Your doing pretty good with Joseph." April said to me. "Thank you, I'm trying so bad to keep him safe."
"What, is it like you adopted him?"
"I think so."
"Go on, my turn go be on duty."
"It's okay..."
"Nah, I want to anyway."
"If you say so."
"Go rest now." she said. Then I left. "Gerardo." April called me. "Yeah." I said. All of a sudden she kissed me on the cheek. "Move along."
I killed a Walker to pass by and continue following the train tracks. Then there was a big wall not far from the tracks, and also there was smoke. We talked about going there I wanted to but I was thinking if it's Anthony. "Sorry but we need to keep going." I said. "Go where Gerardo."Salvador asked but in a pissed tone. "Somewhere in the cold, where the walkers could freeze and slowdown, it will be easy." I said. "But we have no place to stay in, no community, no refuge." he kept on complaining.
"I know a place." a unfamiliar voice came out, it was a girl, white color, blackish color hair, she looked young, also my age, she had a gun, also a pony tail. "Who are you may I ask?" I told her. "Melanie." she responded. "So where is it?" sal asked. "A place called Wellington. I'm pretty sure it's up north." Melanie said. "So that is our priority, Wellington. And you alone?" I asked. "Parents, like always."  she said crossing her arms. "Well your welcome if you want to stay." I said. "What's the catch?" she asked. "No catch, how old are you?" I asked. "Turning twelve around nine more months."
"Cool."
She looked nervous. "You can come out now." she said. "What do mean?" I said. Another girl came out behind a tree. "Don't worry, she is no harm. Her name is Madison."
Madison was also white, not to much, she was blond, short, shy, looked like she wouldn't hurt anyone. So we continued our path to Wellington.
It wasn't that easy to go there, it was difficult on the way. When we were walking on the tracks, it ended up going in the forest. "Should we?" Javier asked. "We are heading to Wellington, that's our priority." Melanie said. "I agree." I said. So we continued walking.
Around two weeks. We were following a path, so that's what we did. Out of nowhere a Walker came out and attacked Javier. "Shit shit help me!" he yelled. He screamed, we tried to help, but then a arrow went to the walkers head. "That wasn't mine." I said. I looked at my right and saw a old man with a crossbow and also a guy, he didn't look old. "Hurry and get him." the old man told me. I grabbed Javier and Salvador helped me out. We carried him but walkers were coming in. The other guy killed all ten walkers with his machete that were on our way, we kept following them. "We don't know if we can trust them." Salvador said to me. "I don't either but I think they want to help us." I said. We finally made it, it was a small house in the middle of the woods.
The old man with the crossbow yelled out a name, Carlos. Then another man came out, which I am guessing it's Carlos. "What's going on?" he asked. "This kid is bleeding, he going to die if you check on him." The other guy said  with the machete. "Luke can you check on Nick for me please?" The old man said to the young guy, so I was guessing his name was Luke. "Sure thing Pete." Luke said to the old man. Wow, two Pete's, what a coincidence. "Holy damn." Carlos said getting up. "What is it?" I asked. "He's been bit by a lurker." Carlos said. "Shit." Maria said.
"We need to kill him, before he turns." Pete, not the old man. "We can't just kill a kid." The other Pete said. "Please don't" Javier said, he looked bad "Just let me turn."
No one wanted to kill him. "We have no choice." Maria suggested. I looked at Javier he looked really exhausted. I had a choice to kill him or to let him turn. "I'm sorry." I said to Javier. I took out my gun and pointed at his head. BANG Right in the head. "What the hell." Carlos yelled at me. Then Joseph started to cry. "You have a baby?" Carlos said. "What the hell happened?" a big cane out he looked he was 19. "Nick get back inside." Pete said. Nick, huh. Then he went inside. Then a brownish women came out,  "Shit." she was pregnant. "Rebecca?" Carlos said. "Where's Sarah?" Carlos said. "I'm right here dad." a little girl was at the window. I looked behind me and there was a Walker coming towards us. "Get everyone. Rebecca take Sarah inside, call Alvin, and Luke." Pete said. I took out my bow and some arrows. I looked at the Walker closely. It made a zing when I shot the arrow, headshot. I grabbed another arrow and killed the walkers. A Walker grabbed dhamra, and dhamar was holding Joseph. A machete went to the walkers head. Thank god it was just Luke. "Thank you." dhamar said to him. "Get inside everyone." we all went inside the house. "Fuck, we are all screwed." I said looking outside. There were like hundreds of walkers outside surrounding the house. But one Walker, was familiar. Like I seen before. It's face was not right, I looked so closely, it didn't move it just stand there looking at the house and me. Holy shit it was alpha.
