Silence

"We need to start building more and add more jobs. We need to stay focus here and don't let the buildings fall to the grown. No thing else brings down the buildings, it is us who do that. Those things out there, they come for us, not just those things, but other people, other humans. But we won't let them, we won't let anyone go behind these walls, these walls" I paused "these walls won't keep us all alive. We have to do all we can do to stay alive, make this place a beacon, shine from all this darkness that is stopping us." I left and everyone went to work.
I went straight to my room. Opened my closet and grabbed a gun. You can't be to sure of what is coming. I said in my head. I saw wolf drinking water. I smiled.
It's been a day or two. I wouldn't stop thinking about Anthony. I said in my head. Will he ever find us, who is going to die, who is Anthony going to kill. "I'm just to scared of him wolf. What should I do?" I told him. He just looked at me. I pat him in the head.
In secret I escape to find some things, I took wolf with me. When I left, I heard someone behind me. I took my bow and looked at the target. "Come out, now." I said. Someone with a black mask, he was wearing all black, he had his hands up. "Who are you?" I asked. "Heh, it's odd seeing you here." The unknown human said, at that moment I recognize the voice.
The person took of his mask. It was Anjay. "What are doing?" I asked. "Came to follow you." he said. "For what?" I told him. "Well I was bored, needed something to entertain me." he said. "Whatever. Hurry, I'm trying to find useful things." I told. "Alright then."
We were walking for like three minutes and I spotted a house. I went in the front door. I knocked. Pure silence. "It's clear." I said looking back. I opened the door.
We both went inside. The was nothing but furniture. "Keep your weapons up." I said. I looked at wolf. I heard a Creek. I took my bow and was ready to shoot. "Wait it's a kid." anjay said lowering my bow down. I looked at the shadow on the floor. It was a size of a kid. I went in front of the door. I opened it. "Oh my god. Why are you here?" I told him. "sorry dad." Joseph said. "But I found a duffle bag." he said giving it to me. "Thank you, but you tell someone before you leave, and you can't leave out of orchard." I told him. "Last see what's in the bag." I said opening it. There was two tactical knives, three cans of beans and some ammo. "Well shit." anjay responded. "We need to get back." I told them. "Let's get moving then."
We went outside I was at front and Joseph was side of me and anjay was the other side. When we were walking towards two trees between us. When we passed them. A Walker grabbed Joseph. He screamed. "HOLD ON!" I said yelling. I grabbed my bow and hit Walker in the head of the sides of the bow. He didn't die, the bow wasn't strong enough. Joseph was struggling. I grabbed the tactical knife and killed it. Wolf was barking. At that time I noticed that Joseph didn't know how to fight. I grabbed him and hugged him. "You okay." I told him. "Yeah." he responded. "I'm sorry." anjay said. I looked at him with a angry expression. "Let's get going."
We arrived behind the walls of orchard. We went inside so April wouldn't notice. I told Joseph to clean up his face. Anjay left. I stayed on my bed thinking, what will happen if Joshua is all alone and he doesn't know how to fight. I also found out my bow is useless on the edges. I looked at a table, it had the tactical knife, and a duck tape. I looked any bow. I had an idea. I grabbed the two knives, and the duck tape. I put the knifes on the edges on my bow and taped it. It was a complete bow. "I finished." Joseph came out of the restroom. I looked at him. I went to find April. I found her sending a box of can food to the storage. "Grab everyone we are having a meeting now." I told her. "Already? You did one yesterday." she asked. "It's important." I told her. "I know every meeting is important." she said. "Just do it." I said kissing her in the cheek. When I turned around I saw Melanie looking at me and she left looking at the floor. "Gerardo, you need to look at this." I saw marielie on the other side. I wanted to go see, but I saw Melanie walking slow. Where should I go. "I'm coming." I told marielie. I decided to go with her. "What's wrong?" I asked her. She pointed. "Holy shit." I looked and there was more buildings behind orchard. "We can expand the community more." I told her. "Indeed we can." she said. "Gerardo, we're ready." Dhamar came.
I went in the main quad. "I apologize for disrupting your job, I really do. But as I noticed we have more building behind these walls that we haven't noticed, so now we can all expand our community better. Also, raise your hand who has children."  I stopped and waited, many people raised their hand. "Your children and mine are in danger." I stopped because everyone was confused. "But, listen, but we can stop that, children don't know how to kill, those walkers outside. So if we can teach them how to fight, it could work and they can be strong fighters. Go and talk to see if your child wants training, only ages five through eighteen. "Thank you and have a nice day." I said leaving.
Maria went after me. "Are you sure about this?" she asked. "What if they get injured?" Esmeralda said. "We got this, I believe in you brother." Luis came to Pat me. "Thank you." I said back. "It's for the best, they need training so one day when we aren't here, or they are somewhere else they already know how to fight."
"I agree." April said "It's probably for the best."
"Alright then, we should get ready we are going to explore the other side and start training the kids. We have a big day tomorrow."
