"We need to avoid these things." Luke said. "Dammit these fuck heads came here and fucked up everything here." Rebecca argued. "Look women our friend was bit and you friend saved us okay so cut the shit would you?" Salvador said. "Excuse me slut but you should shut the fuck up before I do something alright?" Rebecca sounded pissed. "All we have is just wait for now." Luis said. I didn't turn around to talk I just stayed and looked at alpha. I knew she was looking at me. "Gerardo a little help here." Salvador said. I didn't want to bring up about alpha. "All we have, is what Luis said, hopefully the hord passes by." I said. "I agree." Luke said. "How about killing the walkers all if them." Nick said. "Yeah sure great idea, that will get one of us killed." I said. "Look you don't have to be a bitch about it okay?" Nick said. "Everyone, arguing ain't going to help us alright, so calm down and think." Pete from my group said to everyone. We all discussed about it. And we all agreed that we wait. So we did.
It was at the middle of the night. What am I doing so late. Well of course I was at night duty. Had my bow, water, and a couple of canned food in case I was hungry. I heard all the moan of the walkers. Joseph was with Maria. Some of us were sleeping at the couch I was at the roof making sure no one will come. But the thing I didn't understand about me is that I wanted to body guard and no one knows that I was up there. I didn't volunteer, but I volunteered myself. I just heard those things moaning, it was uncomfortable, but some reason I didn't get down. I looked at the trees, birds flying, everything normal.
"What are doing?" I heard someone asking. I looked behind me, it was April. "Nothing, how did you find me?" I asked. "Creaking noises." she said. "Makes sense." I responded. "You know, I never had a relationship before." April said looking at the walkers. "Yeah, well me neither." I said "Is it the time of having one, I mean in this new world, I dont even know anymore." I said to her. "Well it will go all away if you close your eyes." she said getting closer to my face. I didn't know what to do, I like her as my friend, but in that way, it was confusing. Should I kiss her or should I refuse. I was thinking to much that she just came straight to me. We were mouth to mouth. Damn. I don't even know what it felt like. Then she stopped. "Well?" she asked. "Man, I don't even know." I said. "Well for sure we are something, right?" she asked smiling. "I guess." I said. "You come with me, get some sleep." she said. "I'll be there, just need more time." I said. "I'll wait for you." she said. Should I go, or wait. I guess, I was a little tried though.
CRASH "What fuck was that?" Luke came out running. I got up and got up and the hord of walkers were coming in the house. Maria came with Joseph down stairs. "GET BACK!" I yelled at Maria. Everyone left except Maria and April. I grabbed my bow, I noticed I only handed one arrow. I heard a loud scream, a girl. screaming. A Walker was trying to bite April. "GERARDO!" Maria yelled, then another Walker was grabbing Maria in the shoulder, and she was holding Joseph. "HELP!" Maria and April yelled. I didn't know who to save, with one arrow. "I'm sorry." I said in tears. I pulled the arrow back pointed at the target. Zing I looked at April, she was getting eaten by a Walker. "Go!" I said. Then she left. A Walker grabbed my arm and them it bit my arm.
I yelled waking up. It was all a dream. I looked, no Walker's, just a idiot waking up screaming. "Are you okay." April asking. I looked behind her, everyone was looking. "In sorry just a dream." I said. "What did you dream?" Esther asked. I didn't want to say anything because April was there. So I changed the subject. "Are walkers still out there?" I asked. "Yeah, but some are gone." Luke said to me. "Not much." Nick said. "Well thats good news." I said. Carlos came down stairs. "How she doing?" Rebecca asked Carlos. "Not to good, she still scared." he responded. "She will be fine, just give her time." Pete said, the old man. "Gerardo can I talk to you?" Pete asked, but from my group. "Sure."
I followed him to the kitchen, oak and siddiq were there. "What's going on?" I asked him.
"I was looking at a map, and I found a lake near by, I'm guessing like one day from here, we could go on boat and won't be on land so there won't be any walkers. What do think?" he asked me. "Well could be good, I mean I'm just a kid. Are you asking my permission?" I asked. "Sorta." he said. "But why, you guys are adults." I asked. "Well because you look like what is for the best, I mean look, we followed you, walking in the train tracks, look where it brought us, new people, you are our leader." Pete continued. "No." I said. "Why not?"
"I'm scared, I'm afraid, I might fuck something up, I don't want to put the group in danger. Javier is dead because of me, I didn't look at him." I said. "Don't blame your self, you'll be a great leader."
"I'm just a fucking kid, what good am I going to do?" I said. "Give it a try." Pete said putting his hand on my shoulder. "Just one day." I said. "Alright then, one day. But I really don't want to go on boat, I'm sorry but you guys can, I'm not stopping you." I told them. "I'll take that as a yes. We'll go when this hord leaves." they said. "Sounds good." I said.
So we waited. We waited there like two weeks. We ate meat which they have, canned food, water. Also, I really couldn't stop thinking about the dream. Once the hord was cleared out. We thanked them for everything. And we were heading to the river where Pete wanted to go. Like everyone said it took a day. We arrived.
"Finally." Pete said. I smiled. There was a boat, small one. "Thank you so much." Pete said. "I'm here to help you Pete." I said. "Does anyone want to go with Pete?" I asked. Everyone stayed silent. Everyone went on the boat. "You guys stay safe." I told them. "We will, and that goes for you to." Pete said. We all stayed looking at Pete leave on the ocean, I waves at them, they waves back. Honestly it felt like a dream, why would I leave Pete, he was a nice guy. Everything felt like a dream, like none of this was real, these walkers, did they even exist. Who knows?
