We were all exhausted. "We should take a rest." Luis said stopping. "We can't." I responding without stopping.
"Why?" he said. "Because we need to make some distance between terminus and us."
"Does it matter?" anjay replied. "Yes it does."
I didn't stop walking but I kept going. "We're all tried Gerardo it isn't the best to keep walking." Kevin said. "Don't be part of this. We need to go back to the community. But for now I guess we need to find a cabin but it needs to be far." I said. "How do you even know where our community is?" anjay argued. "I don't know, I just hope for the best. Look we don't have time, we need to go before..."
"What the fuck is in you with that guy." Salvador stopped me. I stayed silent. And I kept walking. I knew he was talking bout Anthony.
We got lucky because we found a cabin it was far from terminus and we were waking like two days without resting. "Okay I understand that we were walking for who knows what, but I found a house in a distance." I told them while I was looking at the binoculars. "If you lie I will slap you." Melanie said smiling, I smiled back. "Come in let's keep going before night." I told them.
We arrived. Kevin was going to walk in but I blocked him from my arms. "What?" he said. I took out my bow and hit the door three times.
Then I heard creeks on the floor. Then moaning and then hitting on the door. "You see? And you wanted to go inside getting eaten."
"Here." Salvador gave me a knife. "Thanks. Stand back." I said holding the door. I opened it and saw the Walker coming to me and stabbed the brain. "Let's go in."
It was night, we sat at the fire place warming up. We told jokes and talked. "So, what was everyone's hobby before all this happened." I asked. "I'll go if you go first Gerardo." Melanie said. "You got me. I liked singing, playing sports, cooking, and I played games."
"I also liked cooking, drawing, movies, reading, and also singing." Melanie said looking at me.
"I'll would say but I'm exhausted." Salvador said stretching. "Same here." Esmeralda responded. "Well goodnight everyone." Esmeralda aid leaving upstairs with Salvador. "Wow, I already forgot that Luis is also upstairs. He said he went to use the restroom." I said. "Well he took long." Omar responded. We stayed talking for thirty minutes Omar and Kevin also went upstairs to sleep and as well Joshua and anjay. Me and Melanie stayed. We both sat at the couch. "Gerardo?" she said looking at me. "Yeah?" I responded. "Please tell me. Why are you afraid of Anthony?" she asked. At that time my heart dropped. "I never told anyone before, not one person I knew. Not even April."I told her. "You trust me right?" she said. I had a choice to tell her or don't tell her. I made a choice to tell her. So I told her everything. "Wow. I'm sorry." she said. "Don't be this is not your thing, so you don't have to worry." I told her. "Let's get some rest." I told her. She slept on my shoulder. "Good night, G." she said. "G?" I asked. She didn't respond. "Good night, Melanie." I said.
Clink Click I heard which woke me up. I saw Melanie still on my shoulder sleeping. I grabbed her head and placed it down carefully. I grabbed my bow and went outside. I heard Walker's all around I heard them everywhere. But I didn't see them. I looked at the house and saw a figure standing, then two then five, then thirteen. They were walkers. "Shit I went running to the house but I late, I was a bit far from the house but I could still see it. In total of walkers j saw was like fifty seven. One grabbed my back which I didn't knew still I felt it. I killed it and went running to I don't know where. I wasn't looking where I was going and I fell in a river and the water was taking me somewhere I didn't know. I was trying to call for help. When I tried but even time I did I went in the water.
"I didn't know what happen then, everything went black." I told her. "Wow, you probably hit your head with a rock." she told me. "I did woke up with pain in my head." I told her.
"Can you continue please?" she asked. "Sure."
I woke up, there was dirt in my face, once I opened my eyes I saw my bow. I got up to look for my arrows. I found all fifteen, most of them were floating in the water. I was walking. I was lost. "Hello?" I yelled. No answer. Not even a single Walker. I kept walking, everything was dead silence. In a couple of miles. I heard someone "We must hurry."
Once I heard I went running to the direction of the voice. "Hey!" I yelled. When I reached I saw two guys, they were wearing armor and they were both in horses. "Stop." one of them said taking out their gun pointing it at me. "Who are you?" The other one said. "Names Gerardo." I told them putting my bow on the ground. "Well I guess you knew what we were going to ask." he said smiling. "Names Richard. This is Mathew." Richard said. "Nice to meet you." Matthew said taking out his hand. I shook his hand. "You may now pick up your weapon." Richard said. "Thank you." I said. "Now what happen young citizen?" Matthew asked. I told them what happened but I didn't say about my people, I couldn't trust them yet cause I don't them. "Come, we have a community that can help you." Richard said giving me a water bottle. "Thank you." I respond.
It took like one hour to get there. We arrived and there was a big wall and it looked like a school. The door opened and we went inside. "Follow me and I'll take you to our leader." Richard said walking into a tall building, and there was a sign said Auditorium. I went inside and I saw a man sitting in a chair. Holy shit I said in my head, he had a fuckin tiger. Richard bowed to him. "My king, me and Matthew met a new survivor." Richard said getting up. "Thank you Richard, you are now dismissed." he said to him. "Welcome, I am king Ezekiel, and welcome to the Kingdom." Ezekiel told me. "I wonder young man what is your name?" he asked. "Names Gerardo." I told him. "What brings you here?" he asked.
"He was lost my king." Richard said. "My excuse Richard I'm asking the young gentleman. Pardon me. You may not speak." Ezekiel said looking at Richard. "Like Richard said I was lost and I'm trying to find my community." I told him. "You never mentioned about a community." Richard interrupted. "Richard!" Ezekiel said hitting his staff in the floor. Then his tiger roared. "Shiva that wasn't nessary." he told the tiger. "Well I hope you can be happy here, but for the mean time, you are welcome to stay here if you wish."
"Thank you King." I said bowing. "Richard show this man where he could stay for the night." Ezekiel commanded. "Yes sir." he responded. We were walking to the exit till a man came in running inside. "Jerry?" The king said in a confusing tone.
"I'm sorry sir." Jerry said. "Don't worry at least you brought the bowl of fruit. Please Jerry offer our new guest Gerardo a fruit." Ezekiel told Jerry. I choose the apple. "Thank you I really appreciate it."I told him. "Look I would to stay but I need to go, I didn't want to say it because I found it rude." I told him. "But I have a group that needs me, and they are all alone." I told him. "Don't worry, I'll get you a pack full of supplies and whatever you need to find your community." he told me. "Thank you so much Ezekiel I really do so much appreciate it."
"Richard you know what to do." Ezekiel said. "On it." Richard responded. "Tell me Gerardo, what are you so afraid of?" Ezekiel asked.
"I know. I could tell from your eyes." he said. "Lose of family, and a enemy that wants to get revenge on me." I told him. "Tell me the story."
I told him how I killed his sister. And how her father died. How he looked like. "Wow, interesting. Because that is not how he told me." he said. "What?" I said in fear. "I give two communities supplies because I'm force to, one called the saviors, and last, where Anthony is and he is the leader, The serpents."
