A/N: Hi to whoever's reading this :) I just wanted to point out a few things before I start writing. I'm setting this story in Illinois but the town it is actually in is completely 100% made up. Also any facts that you think I've gotten wrong I probably haven't I've just changed them to go with my story. I'm writing about an American character and I'm British so I'm sorry if any terms I use are wrong for America just correct me and I'll sort out my mistake as soon as I can. Anyways I hope you guys like this and let me know what you think it's a bit different to what I usually write :) - Kelly xxx

My whole body hurts like hell. My head feels heavy on my shoulders and I can't seem to remember what just happened to me moments ago. Shooting pains shock through my skull almost constantly, making me feel vertiginous. My throat feels thick and dry. I'm so thirsty.

I squish my eyes tightly shut, grimacing in pain as shocks blasts through my body like lasers. My hands are balled into tight fists with my nails cutting into my skin as a result. I don't care though because I'm just so thirsty.

I force my tear filled eyes open to find a lady hovering over me with what must be concern written on her face. Above her is a black sky, there aren't any stars tonight and the moon is only a thin line covered with thick storm clouds. I hear thunder now coming from the distance. I realise I'm on the ground somewhere and it's wet, seeping into my clothes and causing a chill through my convulsing body.

"Everything will be fine Shawn just relax and sleep now." The stranger whispers her voice smooth but cold.

I faintly wonder how she knows my name but another round of pain takes over my body, this time in my stomach leading into my back. Writhing in pain I can't help but scream until my throat is raw. I'm still so, so thirsty.

"It hurts," I manage to cry as I'm shifted into what must be the lady's lap. I want to tell her to get off the wet floor as it will ruin her expensive looking clothes but the words won't form on my tongue.

"It will pass soon my darling just sleep." Her voice is now soft and mother like, she reminds me of my mom before she died.

"Help me." I whimper as my vision starts to fade and my breathing becomes slower. I'm not going to last much longer.

"I will my son," the lady's voice now sounds exactly like my late mothers, it's like my mother is now holding me in her arms comforting me. "The pain will be over soon don't resist just let it be." My mother says and all I want to do is jump up and hold her in my arms. I miss her and dad so much.

"Please help me." I sigh with my last breathe.

Before I succumb to the darkness completely the stranger speaks again, her voice back to being cold again, but I figure she's not directing her words to me this time because I know I'm utterly unresponsive.

"We need to move him now it's almost daylight. He can't be seen by anyone. They must all think he's dead."

I wonder what she means by that. Didn't she just say I was going to be fine? Before I can try to think through the pain that's a continuous pressure in my head the darkness slowly takes me away, away too my parents, where I belong.
