"There is nothing so magical as the skill to bring laughter amid strife."

– Albus Dumbledore from FRED AND GEORGE AND THE TOILERS OF TROUBLE by Wattpad author, M. Clifford

===================

On April the first, two years before the birth of Harry Potter, a different boy was born to a modest, magical family.  This boy was quite unique — for although he came from a lineage of pure-blood wizards, he was much, much more.  He was secretly twins!  As the newborn child was resting in his cradle, he became two identical boys lying side-by-side, to the amazement of all.  Their birth, while remarkable and lauded as the answer to an ancient prophecy, was swiftly discredited as an outrageous April Fool's Day prank.

Thus began the story of Fred and George Weasley, the boy who was twins.

Eleven years later, the rather mischievous pair step off the train with their older brothers Charlie and Percy at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where they quickly make their mark with pranks, silliness, and unexpected appointments to the house Quidditch team.

Through the use of a magical map of the school they uncover in the caretaker's office and a rare invisibility cloak they steal from their headmaster, the twins evade detection while exploring the many secret rooms and passages of the castle, as well as the surrounding forest and village. Their curiosity and misdeeds soon lead them directly into a mystery involving obliterated paintings.  Clues begin to reveal themselves in the strange history of their half-giant gamekeeper, a shadowy witch who roams the corridors at night, a long-forgotten student social club, and a puzzling Magical Investigator who reluctantly accepts the post as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher — a position with its own ambiguous past.

When their eager interest in the mystery of the paintings turns all eyes on them, Fred and George are forced to recruit their new friends, Lee Jordan and Angelina Johnson, to help put the pieces together in order to avoid expulsion. The story culminates in an action-packed chase through the castle and an emotional journey for answers through the memories of the past that is sure to leave readers of the Harry Potter series excited for more.

On the surface, Fred and George always appeared to be nothing more than jolly, optimistic mischief-makers. But all is never as it seems. For if the prophecy of the Pure-blood Twins is correct, Fred and George Weasley are destined for a purpose far greater than even that of the famous Harry Potter...
