I looked cautiously at Niall and spared a glance at Nate. Who looked as confused as Niall. They both shared similar expressions, V shaped eyebrows and licking their lips.
Nate grabbed my arm and turned me to face him.
“Bella, I know who he is. He’s one of our biggest clients. How do you know him?”
“We’re friends. I’ll tell you the story another day.”
“But I don’t understand how you’re friends with him,” Nate repeated and I rolled my eyes.
“Right here guys,” Niall said trying to catch our attention to no avail. I vaguely wondered if he’d realised my family owned Silverview Palaces and Hotels. If he did he was taking it very well. Honestly I expected him to freak out just a little.
Silverview was a very well known hotel name. All the hotels were five star, luxurious with plenty of facilities most of them including pools, gyms and restaurants. However our hotels were known for privacy and that’s what made us so popular with celebrities.
I understood why it was such a hit with celebrities. Our suites were huge with luxurious décor and comfort that people dreamed about. The mattresses on the beds were from another world. Once you lay down you never wanted to get up. We offered them private spas and facilities. We allowed them to use facilities after hours and offered twenty-four hour room service. While they stayed the workers were at the beck and call. But we offered what most celebrities ache for. We offered privacy. We had a private elevator that they could use if they wished and secret underground exits they could use to avoid paps if needed. We also had complete confidentiality forms signed with them. We weren’t allowed to tell the public who was staying when unless they authorised it.
“Another time,” I told Nate sternly, “Now do you have a free table for me and Niall in the restaurant?”
“Niall and I,” he corrected me automatically, “And rude,” he told me before turning to Niall. “Right this way, Mr Horan,” Nate said formally and using his hand to gesture the direction in which we were meant to go. I couldn’t help but giggle at Nate’s formalities and I got a glare from Nate for it.
“What?” I asked annoyed I was allowed to laugh. “I don’t work here.”
“A little class,” he reprimanded.
“I’ll remember that next time I find a condom in your room,” I teased and he looked at me shocked before groaning.
“That was one time! Why won’t you people let me forget that?”
“By people he means me and April,” I told Niall.
“I don’t think Mr Horan wants to hear about this,” Nate said.
“Sure he does,” I exclaimed as Niall cracked a smile. “One time Mr Posh over here was left home alone for a few days because he thought he was too cool to come to France with his family.”
“I’d been a hundred times! And I was over eighteen!”
“Besides the point, when we got back April and I went snooping and found a condom in Mr Posh’s bedroom. We blackmailed him for weeks.”
“If we’re talking about stories, how about I tell him one of you?” Nate asked with condescending and mischievous eyes.
