Annoyance mixed with rage swirled together in my body as I grabbed the newspaper and stormed to Helena’s room. She had no right to circle that ad and I was going to damn well tell her she crossed a line.
I swung the door open viciously and stormed in to Helena and Andrew’s room. They were both lying on the bed. Helena was wearing the clothes she was cleaning the house in, a pair of shorts and an Adidas t-shirt, and Andrew was just wearing his boxers. They both turned to the door with a groan.
“What now?” Helena said annoyed which got my blood boiling even more.
“No! You don’t get to have attitude with me!” I yelled. “I told you I didn’t want anything to do with my old life! So the first thing you do is suggest I go looking for it again!”
“Bella I was just trying to help,” she defended herself.
“No! If I wanted my old life I wouldn’t have left it! How dare you meddle in my personal affairs?”
“What’s going on?” Andrew finally spoke up not able to ignore us anymore.
“I circled an ad,” Helena said like I was crazy for getting mad at her.
“No, you don’t get to make me look crazy!” I shouted at her and then I turned to Andrew, “She circled an ad that was promoting The Daisy Chains Tour which my little sister is opening! Well you know what I think of that?” I asked and they just looked at me, “This,” and I ripped the stupid paper in half before throwing it onto their bed and storming into my room, making sure to slam the door so they knew just how angry I was.
I quickly changed into the first clothes I saw, which happened to be a pair of denim shorts and a white, boob-tube top. I quickly put on a pair of converse and tied my hair up into a very messy bun because I was just not bothered to look presentable – I didn’t even wear socks or put make-up on – and I had residue mascara smudged around my eyes. I didn’t even care. I grabbed my phone and wallet – not bothering to put them in a bag and left the apartment but before I could leave Helena grabbed my arm.
“You’re overreacting,” she told me.
“No, I don’t think I am,” I told her before slamming the door in her face and leaving. I had told her that under no circumstances did I want to see anyone from my old life. My old life was gone, it was in the past and buried. I was in my new life now, the present. I didn’t want to know that Oly was going to be in Sydney. Now I’ll be living in worry wondering if I’ll bump into her accidentally. I wished she hadn’t told me. I would’ve been happier if she hadn’t told me.
When I reached the street I had no idea where I wanted to go so I called Perry and twenty minutes later his car pulled up next to the footpath. The car was very old with white paint saggy seats. I got in and sat down in the seat without looking at Perrie.
“What happened to you? You look like you’ve died,” he stated and I gave him a death stare.
“Nice to see you too,” I muttered back.
“Well someone’s PMSing,” he muttered as he put the car into drive and joined the other cars on the road. “So where to grandma?”
“I don’t really care,” I muttered and then I noticed what was on the radio and turned it off with an annoyance further rising in my body. Oly’s single was playing.
“Hey I liked that song!” Perry protested.
“Go cry a river.”
“Someone’s in a mood.”
