(They never went to the Irene dimension in this. So take it as mid-season one. Sorry if this is sort of odd and doesn't make sense!!)They said I'd never choose a person to love or admire. That I would just use them for their admiration and leave them in the dust once I was unsatisfied. That my heart was an old rock, using their hearts to try and soften it. But everybody knows, you can't soften a rock.
This is what they said about me. My citizens lost all hope of me finding any man to call mine when I shattered, Laurance. I thought and felt ways about him that were inexpressible, I dearly loved and cared for him. But, I didn't express it enough. I didn't show my love and appreciation enough. It got to the point where Laurance started to think I didn't love him. He accused me of dating him out of pity and publicity so I wouldn't get made fun of in my, "town of love" and left Phoenix Drop for Meteli. Where he then became Lord.
Of course, this caused a huge uproar in the city. Nobody knew what he meant. Nobody knew anything. Some people left, thinking I was using everyone. Others kept their distance. But, there was one person. One person who saw past all the lies and names slapped onto me like I was a book with errors. He ignored them all,
Garroth.
He has and had stuck by me. Stood up for me, helped me get through my worst mindsets and most of all-
He truly won me.
The way his words slipped off his tongue- it's like he could go on forever. He's a galaxy I could forever get lost in, and wouldn't want to escape.
-
I got off the creaky boat. Taking careful steps so I didn't fall into the water. I was instantly greeted by Garroth. His hair was tangled a little, yet it still looked nice. You could see his muscles through his long sleeved shirt that was under his armor, causing me to blush a small bit.
"Welcome back, Lady Aphmau. How was the trip?"
"I-it was alright! I managed to renew some friendships with Lords and make some deals," I said, a small blush still plastered on my face and I played with my fingers.
"Haha, well that's good. Would you like me to escort you to your house? You look tired." Garroth said in a polite and eager tone.
"Oh, of course! Shall we go now?" I said looking up, smiling happily to him.
"Yes," Garroth smiled, linking his arm in mine, sending the blush that was previously on my face back to where it was.
As we walked, I decided now would be the time to pop that forward question.
"Do you have anything planned tonight?" I shyly asked.
"Well, I do not. Do you need me to do something?" He replied looking down at me.
"Well," I said looking away, "would you like to have dinner with me tonight..?" I quickly asked, hiding my face by looking in the other direction.
"D-dinner? Well, I'd love too."
"G-great! Be to my place at 7," I yet again said shyly. My heart rate picking up every second.
By that time, we have arrived at my house.
"I'll see you at 7," Garroth quickly said as we parted at my porch. A quick smile and blush appeared as he ran off.
-
I applied the small amount of rose blush on my cheeks, and headed downstairs. As I hit the floor, there was a knock at the door.
"Hello, Garroth!" I happily said, opening the door and opening my arms to give Garroth a hug.
"Good evening, Lady Aphmau," Garroth greeted hugging me back.
I let a small blush creep into my cheeks during the few seconds of silence as we pulled away.
"O-oh! Here's dinner. Nothing special I just whipped it up quickly. If it doesn't taste good we could always just eat the dessert instead," I said as I tucked some hair behind my ear and silently laughed.
"Well," Garroth started, "by the aroma of the kitchen, I think this will be a splendid dinner,"
"Well, we will have to see!" I said as I took a seat at the table, Garroth joining me.
I had already set the table and put the food out. I took some meat and vegetables that I had freshly bought. I received some dirty looks when buying them, but it was worth it.
"Oh wow," Garroth said as he bit into his food, "this is amazing!"
"Really?" I asked, surprised at his statement.
"It's better than what we ate back in O'khasis,"
A slight blush spread across my face, I bit my lip trying to hide the smile.
"You trying to contain yourself is quite entertaining, haha," Garroth laughed as we smiled and winked at me, continuing to eat normally. On the other hand, I sat there a little frozen trying not to scream.
-
At last, we finished eating. Garroth was very happy and satisfied with my food. We talked a lot and exchanged some very nice words.
"We should do that again sometime," Garroth said as we stood outside my front door, smiling at another.
"I'm always free!" I beamed.
"Haha, I better be going. I have an early shift tomorrow," Garroth said placing a quick kiss on the top of my head, and walking off instantly.
And there I stood. Love struck and happier than a child receiving a new doll.
I have found my true love.
