SEHUN
"Sehun-ah!" A high-pitched voice calls me from the kitchen. I immediately got up from the couch and jog my way towards the kitchen.
"What is it?" I asked the moment I arrived at the kitchen. As I got there, she was wearing an apron with her fixed into a very messy bun while holding her phone up to me. I chuckled at the sight of her which made her look at me with confusion written all over her face.
"What? Why are you laughing?" She said and furrowed her eyebrows and was soon followed by a pout.
"It's just that, it's funny seeing you wearing an apron, you don't even cook, sweetheart." I walked closer to her, wrapping my arms around her waist as she pouts even more.
"I just want to learn how to cook—Oh my gosh, it's burning!" I looked at the stove, already releasing a cloud of black smoke. I immediately opened the stove, put on a glove, and took out the tray with cupcakes as black as charcoal. As soon as I put the tray at the counter, I looked at Suzy with an apologetic look on her face.
"Suzy, I told you not to cook." She frowned at, as I walked closer to her and pulling her into a hug.
"Why are even cooking, baby? I'm here for a reason, you can just tell me what you want. 'Cause I'm afraid you might burn the house down." I chuckled when I heard her sniff a little. I looked down to her, cupping her cheeks and kissing her lips lovingly. I broke our kiss, with a smirk forming on my lips.
She muttered a quick 'sorry' before wiping her hands at the back of her pants.
"So, why did you call me here?" I asked as soon as I let her go.
"Oooh, yes, my mom wants to talk to you." She groaned. My heart started pounding. I can't help but feel nervous. First thing is first, her parents are not that close with me, we rarely talk to eachother.
"Can you repeat what you have just said?" I said—hearing my heart pound for the umpteenth time.
"Mom—wait—my parents wanted to discuss something over the phone. They didn't have your number so they just called me, here.." She handed me her phone as she got up and walked towards the tray with her burnt cupcakes.
"Tsk, I did well last time.." She muttered while checking her output.
"Was her tone, uhm, I don't know? Angry?" I asked, wetting my lips. Why did my lips got dry all of a sudden?
She shrugged and was followed with a heavy sigh.
"Maybe? Uhm, isn't it kind of weird to check on someone's tone? I'm not that kind of person but if you are, I'm not.."She shrugged again, trying the burned cupcakes she baked, and all of a sudden, she spat it out, looking so annoyed.
"What the hell! It tastes freaking bad!" Suzy groaned and complained, drinking water from her water bottle. I chuckled and ruffled her hair.
"Well, what taste do you expect from burnt cupcakes?" I said sarcastically, earning a glare from Suzy. I smiled and winked at her.
"About my mom wanting to—" She was cut off when her phone rang on the counter. I started to panic. She swiftly picked her phone up and answered it.
"Alrighty then, fine!" She pushed her phone ob my chest as I take it with my hands uncontrollably shaking. Trust me, talking to her parents is the second worst thing that I can ever think of, aside from math equations. She left the room with a heavy sigh. I put her phone over my ears.
"Sehun-ah, put it on speaker." Suzy went back, only with her head sticking out from the door. I pulled the phone away and shook my head before she stomped her feet and left.
"Alright, fine! But you're not going to eat dinner!" She groaned madly at the living room. As if she knows how to cook dinner.
I turned to her phone and put it over my eyes again.
"Uhm, hello. This is Sehun,"
"Yes, hello dear. It's not me who wants to talk to you, it's her Dad."With that, my heartbeat started to pound even faster. I can't even say anything. When her dad talks to me, our topic was always about me taking care of Suzy. And—and well, to sum it all up; he doesn't like me for his daughter.
"U-uhm okay.."
"Hello, Oh Sehun."
"Speaking..."
"Let's go straight to the point. I'll give you everything you want, if you break up with Suzy." I froze."W-what? Are we on to this again?" I asked, hoping that I could just wake up and that this was just a big nightmare.
"Don't be silly, Oh Sehun. Yes, you may be a famous idol. But what will Suzy get in the future when you two get married? Hatred. What will be lost? Respect. Let's not beat in the bush, I don't want you for my daughter. I want you to stay away from her. Did I make myself clear?" I gulped.
"Stop making promises that you can't keep. Well, it's your decision. I'm just warning you, it's your decision." Was that really a warning or clearly a threat? I gulped as he ends the call.
Suzy came in the moment the call ended,
in white pyjamas while eating a piece of bread. I tried to smile while handing her back her phone and kissed the top of her head."Sooo, how'd it go? What did my parents told you?" She asked and stuffed her phone back in her pocket. My mind's a complete mess and I don't think I should tell her yet.
"They told me to take good care of you," I stated, forcing a weak smile. She groaned and sat on the counter with my arms around her waist.
"They told you that? Again? Gosh, I'm not a little kid who needs a babysitter..aish," She rolled her eyes before finishing up her bread and looking at me.
"The girls are coming to visit me. Will you please cook something?" She said with her eyes glistening, waiting for my approval. I hugged her and rested my chin on her neck before sighing heavily.
How can I possibly leave this lovely person right before me?
