Kenneth is such a jerk. He knew what he was doing by coming here yet he came anyway. To rub his chick in my face. I find it funny how he didn't mention her before. Their relationship must not be that serious then. So why waste his time trying to shove her in my face? I could care less.
I finish cleaning up the small mess I made from doing Kianna's hair. I get another text from Isaiah asking if I'm finish with my hair appointment so the two of us can hang out. I send him a quick text and he lets me know he'll be here to pick me up in no less than thirty minutes. We're going to hang out at his house. His sisters have been really looking forward to seeing me again. How can I say no to that?
Realizing I'm still wearing the sweatpants and fitted shirt from when I planned on just staying in after doing Kianna's hair, I run upstairs and change into a grey dress and my white sandals. I tease my curls and lotion myself down with this sweet scented lotion I picked up from Bath & Body Works. I love that store. Everything just smells so good. You really get what you pay for.
My room door swings open and Angela sticks her head in, Kayla and Erica right behind her. "Where are you going?" Angela ask crossing her arms in front of her sweaty chest.
"None of your business. Hey y'all. What brings y'all here?"
"Well I had to pick up this little brat from cheer practice," she points a finger at Angela. "You better watch her. She got too many little boys chasing after her."
"Okay I can't help that I'm the baddest," Angela says flipping her hair behind her shoulder. Erica and Kayla plop down on my bed and take off their shoes. They are getting entirely too comfortable when they see I'm about to go somewhere.
"Guys I'm about to leave to go hang out with Isaiah and his little sisters." As if on que I hear a car honking. I peak out the window and sure enough it's Isaiah. I grab my purse from off the dresser. Kayla and Erica get off my bed and follow me to the living room. Angela is going to stay home by herself. I don't have the time to drag her everywhere I go or make arrangements for her. It was a good punishment when I first thought of it but not anymore. I'm trusting that she won't have any boys in our house while I'm gone. If I don't do it she shouldn't be doing it either.
Erica turns around and face me with a smile. "You know what I don't even care that you're kicking us out. I just came over to tell you that I have a date tonight. I also wanted advice on something to wear but it's cool." This gets my attention. I stop in my tracks. This is news to me. Erica isn't the type of girl to go on dates. She always complains about how awkward they are most of the time.
The corners of my lips pull up in a smile. "With who?"
"His name is Michael. He was looking all good and when he asked I said yes. Would I be considered a slut if I have sex with him on the first night?" She twirls her hair between her fingers, seriously considering something like this. I shake my head, rubbing my temple.
"Of course you wouldn't be considered a slut-"
"Okay great," Erica says with a smile on her face.
"You would be a slut."
She feigns hurt. "Ouch."
"Look I can't talk about this now. Isaiah is waiting for me. Text me all the details and please think long and hard before sleeping with this guy," I offer.
A devious smirk plays out of her lips. "I hope he's like that. Long and hard I mean."
My face crinkles up in disgusted and shock at her words. Angela and Kayla's face mimick mine. I slip my phone in my purse. "I have to go you nasty girl." She only shrugs in response. Shaking my head, I leave out the house. Letting Angela know to lock the door on her way out. A smile forms on Isaiah's face upon my entering his car. I grab his face and crash my lips against his. He hums against my lips. A welcoming sound.
"Good afternoon beautiful," Isaiah greets, making my cheeks warm up in delight and a smile play out on my glossy lips.
"Hey."
"My sisters are out with my Mom running some errands so we'll have the house to ourselves for a couple hours." I start dancing around in my seat like a little kid who's parent just told them they can get a new video game. This puts a smile on Isaiah's face. Between me having to watch my little sister and him having practice or his sisters wanting to hang out with me we don't have a lot of time to ourselves so these couple of hours will be great. Isaiah gives me another kiss before starting the car up and heading to his house.
"Wow this is nice," I admit as I stare at the beige two-story house. It looks similar to the others except for the grass in the surrounding area is a lush green with bright colorful flowers.
Isaiah unbukles his seat belt so I do the same. "Thanks. My mom likes to garden." We get up to the door and I stop to admire the flowers close up. Of course I couldn't tell you the name of each one but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them. They are so nice. I've thought about planting a garden myself. Perhabs fruits or vegetables instead of flowers. It had only been a mere thought. Isaiah rest his hand on the small of my back. "You coming in or are you just going to stare at the flowers all day?"
"Shut up and unlock the door." He smiles in response, pulling his keys out of his front pocket. This ought to be fun.
