Saturday rolls around quicker than expected. I stand to Kenneth's door, contemplating if I want to go in or not. Kayla told me to stay away from him. She has her doubts. The question of whether I should listen still stands. I haven't completely forgiven him about what he did to me, leaving the way he did, but I just can't help but want to be around him. Want what we had years ago.
Sighing, I smooth over my ripped white jeans and readjust my fitted white crop top. My hair cascades over my jean jacket in a beautiful display of spiral curls. Angela has questioned me about where I was going dressed like this. Of course I made up some story about going out with some of the girls. I still haven't told her about my hanging out with Kenneth. She doesn't even know he's in town, I'm sure. If she does she seems to be brushing him off. They had a tight relastionship so it's perfectly understandable. I'm going to have to tell her some time soon though. I can't have her finding out by someone else. It would crush her.
"You just gonna stand there contemplating life or are you going in?" Crap. I hadn't heard him come up. Nor have any idea how long he's been standing there. Watching me. The mere thought giving me an eerie feeling. More so embarrassment but eerie as well.
"I was contemplating."
"What, going into my house?"
I nod. "Kayla says I should stay away from you. She thinks your dangerous."
His brows knit together in confusion. I watch in silence as he scratch the little bit of hair he has on the top of his head. His black jeans and tee fit perfectly with his mysterious attitude and chocolate skin. He turns to me, a serious look in his eyes, "you think I'm dangerous?"
I shrug. How could I possibly answer that question when I haven't really hung out with him or talked with him on a deeper note to figure that out. Not to mention the thought never crossed my mind until Kayla brought it up. "Only one way to find out," I turn and place my hand on the door knob. Glancing back I find that he's not following me. "You just going to stand there contemplating life or are you going in?" I ask, using his own words against him. This cause him to smile and follow me inside his dad's mansion. I'm hit with the smell of weed. Teens share the couch as they talk loudly with each other or make out. There's around fifteen people in here so I suppose it still counts as a small gathering.
I fiddle with my silver chocker as I stand off to the side waiting for Kenneth to introduce us. He turns the music down gaining his friends attention. "Guys this is my best friend, Bria." He then goes off to introduce me to all fifteen of his friends. Some of them are just visiting for the weekend via why Kenneth is throwing this party.
It isn't long before I'm sitting between them sharing crazy stories while eating popcorn and drinking beer. It isnt my most preferred drinks but since there isn't anything else this going to have to do.
These people are hilarious. I love how they're all so open and inviting. Tianna, a skinny carmel skin girl with big poofy blonde curls, drapes her arm around my shoulder. Her eyes travel to my breast and down to my thighs then down the length of her body. "Why can't I be thick in all the right places like that?" She ask seeming frustrated.
Chris butts into our conversation, "because your mother is a crack head and has been since before she had you. Crack babies aren't born with perfect bodies like her's." He gestures to me for emphasis. Instead of pulling him off the couch by his twist, Tianna only shrugs.
"That's so true."
I laugh at the scene before me. The two of them have been going at it since I got here thirty minutes ago. Kenneth says they use to date but decided they were better as friends. "You two are funny."
"No she's just funny looking and sounds like a mouse." Tianna does have a squeaky voice but it sounds cute on her.
"That's not what you said when you are this p-"
"Okay. I think I'm going to go find Kenneth. You two look like you're about to have sex right in the middle of the floor. I want no part of that."
A cocky grin forms on his lips. "You sure? We can make room for one more."
"I'm all for it," Tianna shrugs.
"I'll consider it," I say before making my way in the kitchen. Of course I'm only joking. There's no way I'm having a threesome. I don't look at girls that way and I'm not into sharing.
I find Kenneth in the kitchen talking to one of his friends, Omar I think his name is. "Hey, I was just looking for you. Tianna and Chris are a bit much."
He chuckles. "Are they about to have sex in the middle of my living room?"
"Remind me to stop inviting them over at the same time."
"That's probably best. Oh but their looking for recruits for a threesome. I told them I would consider it."
He laughs. I glance at his friend to find him too intuned in his phone to notice us. "Well let me know what you decide. I might have to join you." He winks playfully.
"Count me in and we can make it a fivesome," Omar speaks for the first time since I came into the kitchen.
"Will do." Omar glance up from his phone to smile. I return the geasture before he turns his attention back to his phone.
"So, uh, you liking the party?"
I shrug. "Your friends are nice. I'm sure the girls will love them if they ever meet them."
"Yeah I'm sure. Glad you're enjoying. Can I offer you another beer?"
I glance down at my empty cup. "Sure and for future reference bring something a little stronger to the party."
"That's exactly what I told him. We don't want this week ass beer. Well it's alright but still," Omar agree. I high-five him.
Kenneth rolls his eyes. "Its not a party. It's a gathering. Besides, I don't want people getting drunk and passing out in my living room. I have to deal with my father already. I'm not trying to add more to that plate."
"Right."
"What?" He ask. I bite down on my bottom lip.
"Nothing."
"Come on, I've seen that look plenty of times. Just say it. I know I yelled at you about my father before and I was wrong for that. If we're going to work on being friends again I shouldn't make you feel like you can't say what you need to say."
"I just hate that you guys are fighting more. I would have thought that your relastionship would have gotten better."
"I wish we didn't fight but it is what it is."
"How come I never get to see him? He know we're hanging out?"
"All we do is fight." I nod, understanding and respecting the fact that in actuality he doesn't want to discuss the matter further. "Hey I got something I want to show you. It's in my room-"
"If it's your dick I would rather not."
He rolls his eyes. "Don't be ridiculous. Come on." I allow him to grab hold of my hand and lead me upstairs. There can't possibly be anything that could rise suspicion in here. Right?
