While I waited for the shower, I saw Shadow’s silhouette through the shower curtains and my mind went off in a day dream. In my short dream, Shadow had pulled me into the shower with him, he had me against the wall teasing my lips with his as the water poured down on his back, my legs wrapped around his waist and my arms around his neck.

It had just started to get good when Shadow’s voice with anger broke me from my visions.

He walked in gloveless, with no socks or shoes! (Yeah you might think that’s really no big deal but that’s truly being naked.) His hands all exposed where his red strip was seen coming to an end at his wrist his golden rings looked to really stand out without the rest of his gloves on, matching the same golden rings on just above his ankles. I felt my face flush lightly red.

“Your turn.” He said grabbing up his shoes and walked passed me. I got up slowly not wanting to let him leave my sight as he slipped on his socks again and stomped on his shoes. He glanced up for a moment catching me watching him and he smiled, “Better take your eyes off of me and watch where you’re going.”

I felt my face go red as he told me and I turned quickly only to be inches away from my nose hitting smack into a wall. I corrected my course and made it to the bathroom where I took my shower quickly.

When I had gotten done and dared not come out without my ‘clothes’ on, I met Shadow sitting on his bed just as a yawn escaped his mouth.

“Hey.” I said sitting next to him.

“Hey.” He answered back and even rested on my shoulder. Now would be a good time to ask him those questions…right? It’s now or never, I took a breath in letting it out slowly.

“Shadow, I’ve wanted to ask you something.”

“What is it?”

“Well uh, promise not to get mad at me?” I said feeling my courage start to wither with the thought of making him angry. He let out a laugh, “I can’t promise anything, but I’ll try.”

“Well, I just don’t want you to be mad, so just know I’m not asking this with the intent of pissing you off or anything. If it’s something you don’t want to answer then you can just tell me.”

“Alright fire away.” He nodded softly.

“Well about those files you were talking about… I mean I haven’t read them at all! But well a friend of mine came over and tried to get me to look at them, the most I saw was the date they were made and the title.”

“Hmm.” He didn’t seem angry so far.

“It dates back to the 50s, and why do they call you ‘Project’ Shadow?”

He picked himself up from my shoulder and stood up from the bed and walked a few paces away. I felt the tension grow and I became nervous. He sighed and turned back to me, “I was created by a scientist Named Professor Gerald Robotnik in 1950.”

A Robotnik!? Created?

“The orbiting moon as we all already know is a space satellite. Or at least now it is… back then it was full of science labs and living quarters. It was an out space bio tech facility basically. Professor had a very sick granddaughter with NIDS; at the time it had been a very frequent diagnosis, and very lethal. The only “cure” was to make the diseased a Robian. There for flaunting their diagnosis everywhere they went. It wasn’t a cure at all, but would help sustain them for a while longer than being on their own. Professor wanted a cure for his granddaughter, also toyed around with making immortality possible.”

“Immortality?” I repeated, “Like never dying.”

“Well, harder to kill to where it seems like never dying. A simple bullet to the head won’t make it end so easily. More like, decapitation and a burning until ashes.” He shrugged, “Anyway after my creation no less than a week I everything was ‘shut down’. The very government I work for was … afraid of me.”
