Damages
Slowly moving her brush through her hair she . She picked up her bathroom things and headed out the door to go to the bathroom.
“Nora!” Came a booming voice. She stopped in the middle of the hallway, she turned around stumbling back a few paces. Something ran into the side ov her knocking her over yelping as her head hit the ground.
“Ouch” she said, looking up quickly to see the boy that had hit her “Get off me” she yelled trying to push him aside but he wouldn’t move. He was staring into her eyes.
He slid off the side of her and held out his right hand showing his scar.
“My fault.” he said slowly. Scrambling to his feet keeping his arm extended “Here let me help you up”
“Well it‘s the least you can do after knocking me over” she said curtly Taking his hand. He pulled her up to her feet with ease, grabbing his suitcase as he stood. Jack pressed his hand into her harder so that their scars were touching. She felt, looked up to see the face of who had knocked her over.
The boy was Jack.
He didn’t look different to her, his eyes were still the same one green on blue, his hair was the same light blond Expect one difference; he was wearing an army uniform. But other than that…
He was the same.
And He was perfect.
. By now everyone in the surrounding dorms were peeking their heads out of the halls to catch their glimpse.
“Jack” she whispered, pulling her hand away from his.
Jack smiled and nodded “Hello Nora” his voice smooth and calm. He didn’t want to scare her. But right now he was hoping that she was happy to see her because her expression was unreadable.
A smile appeared on her Nora face, she fell into his arms.
“Oh Jack” she said into his chest. “I though I‘d never see you again…I’m so sorry, I’m sorry I didn’t writ back to you” Jack pulled her closer into his chest. So that she was perfectly in sync with his body. He bent his head down to her and she filled in the distance. They kissed on the lips slowly, softly but passionately, completely blocking out the clapping that came from the spectators.
They parted slowly opening there eyes to be mesmerised in the other persons “It’s alright I’m sure you had your reasons, and if you want to tell the to me or not, that’s up to you”
Nora was too overwhelmed that he was here, but how long would they have together before he had to leave.
Together in each others arms they slowly moved back into Nora’s room pushing the doors opening with their bodies. The clapping became muffled when they closed the door.
“I missed you” he said, throwing the flowers that were in his hand down on the ground, their interrupting presence would ruin this moment for him.
A tear built up in Nora’s eye it spilt over and she relied on Jack to wipe it away.
“I‘m surprised that you didn‘t hear me earlier, I was running around this student house calling your name!” he said pulling her onto her bed. She rested her head on chest.
“A lot of the girls in the house like to protest” Nora paused “I thought that they were saying ‘No more’ ‘No more’” Jack couldn’t see where she would have gotten that mixed up.
