PEYTON'S POV
When we finally got home, I rushed off to my room. I sat on my bed, and put in my earbuds and blasted my my music. I sat there alone, in deep thought.
ISABEL'S POV
I wonder way Peyton was acting so strangely near the end. Maybe she was embarrassed about being a runaway from her foster homes. I knew something was going on; something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I decided to take a cat nap.
AUSTIN'S POV
I wonder when Peyton and Brandon are going to get together. I know she likes him, so it shouldn't be too much longer until she asks him out, right? I was almost certain of it, but confused. I figured that she would've asked him out by now. I began to cry. I decided to work on my drawing of my panda that I was working on earlier.
BRANDON'S POV
I leaned against my wall. I still couldn't believe that Austin broke up with me. My heart began to ache. I began to play my guitar to relieve stress and to shove my worries in the closet.
JULY 19TH
Peyton, Isabel, and I decided to go walking around the mall. I'm not sure why Austin want to didn't go, though. I bought both of the girls a few things from Hot Topic. Peyton chose a Pokémon plushie and a Twenty-Øne Piløts shirt. Isabel chose a Harry Potter phone and a hoodie with some kind of anime on it. I looked over at the two girls, and Peyton was making jokes and stuff. It seemed like she was flirting with her, but Isabel didn't seem to notice. I kinda just laughed. She's probably just confused, just like I was when I fell in love with Austin. Austin... I still don't understand why...
"Huh?" I said as Peyton elbowed me.
"Are you okay?" She asked, worriedly.
"Oh, yeah. I was just thinking about Austin."
"Oh," she chuckled, "your boyfriend."
"You don't know?" I asked. I thought they already knew that we broke up.
"Know what?" Isabel joined in.
"We're not together anymore."
"Why? I thought you guys were goals!" Peyton exclaimed.
"I'm just as confused as you are. He didn't tell me why, even though I asked him."
"Oh, I'm sorry," Peyton said, hugging me.
We walked around a nearby pond, then went back home. Before we went inside, I really needed to ask Peyton for a favor.
"Hey," I said stopping her, "could you please find out for me why Austin broke up with me?"
"Sure. Secretly or do you want me to tell him that you wanted to know?"
"Secretly, please. Thank you."
"No problem," she said, gently punching my arm.
PEYTON'S POV
I went to Austin's door, and knocked on it. He went and opened it a few seconds later.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Can I come in and ask you a question?"
"Sure."
I walked into his room, and it was cleaner than usual. He motioned me to sit down, so I did.
"So," he began, "what is it?"
"I heard you broke up with Brandon, and I was curious. I understand if you don't want to talk about it."
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Oh," I can understand why.
"But you deserve to know."
I nodded my head.
"I left him so that you could have him. You liked him first, but then I used my powers to steal him from you," he admitted.
"But I don't know my feelings for him anymore, and I wanted him to be happy," I explained.
"He would be happy with you."
"I don't know..."
"Yes he would," he reassured me. "Did he ask you to ask me why?"
I nodded.
"How did you know?" I asked, surprised.
"I just guessed. Well, also I can read minds, so that happened. Don't tell him, please."
