ISABEL'S POV

I looked into his eyes. They were identical to mine. Earlier I noticed that they were light blue, but I didn't notice they were identical until now.

"Wait, I thought I was adopted," I mentioned.

He looked up, and seems angry.

"Who told you that?"

"John did."

"Well, he adopted you, but you're my blood."

"Who's my mom?" I asked, quite curious.

"Um... Just my ex," he said nervously. "She was a real hoe."

We drove in silence for a little bit.

"So... Why did you say no to your crush?" Boston asked.

"What?" I asked half zoned out and half shocked.

"She asked you out, and you like her. It's not hard to tell."

"I don't want to hurt her."

He put his hand on shoulder.

"I know you'll be good for her. She risked her life for yours."

I paused for a moment.

"Wait, how did you know that?"

"Umm... Well..." He said scratching his head.

"One of your powers?"

"Yeah. I can't read people's minds but I can read their eyes. I can see their past through their eyes," he explained nervously.

We were quiet again.

"I know you'll be good for her. I looked into her past, and it wasn't the best. You will be better than good for her. Trust me."

We finally arrived back at the hospital. As soon as we stopped, I jumped out of the car and bolted towards the door. I nearly crashed into it, barely stopping myself so I could open it.

"Woah, slow down Flash," Boston said, but I ignored him.

I ran up the stairs, knowing it would take longer to wait on the elevator. I finally got to Peyton's room. I leaned on her bedrail and kissed her cheek. She was asleep, so decided to wait. Eventually, I got hungry, so I went downstairs to the cafe, and I saw two familiar figures standing there.

"Do you know what room Isabel and Peyton are in?" One asked.

"No, they wouldn't tell me, because I'm under eighteen."

"Brandon, what are we gonna do?"

He stopped and thought for a minute.

I ran and hugged them. They were surprised at first, but then hugged back.

"Are you okay?" Brandon asked, seeming half scared to death.

"Yeah, I am, but Peyton is hurt," I explained.

"Which room," Austin asked.

I told him which one, and he ran up there. It's hurts me that he doesn't care about me. I understand that I hurt him, but I've changed.

AUSTIN'S POV

I ran up the stairs. I finally got to get room, and opened the door and entered. She was awake.

"Are you okay?" I asked. I could tell that she was in pain and has been crying. "Where does it hurt?"

"I'm more emotionally hurt than physically," she said between sobs.

"What happened?" I asked.

What could be so bad that she would be more emotionally hurt than physically hurt? She looked like she was in a lot of pain.

"Isabella rejected me," she cried.

I stood there, almost in tears myself. I know what it feels like to get rejected by someone you like. It would've happened to me if I didn't use my power on Brandon. Her pain hurt me. Her tears pierced through my soul like sharp knife. I pulled out my wallet.

"What do you want from the cafe?" I asked.

"Just iced coffee I guess."

"Okay, I'll be back in a little bit."
