As soon as I made my appearance, the crowd nearby went into a panicked flurry. The grunts holding Gladion turned to me, obviously annoyed and angry. In almost and instant, I blinked and it was just the five of us standing in the conservatory.

"The hell do you think you're doing, kid?!" The grunt standing farthest from me yelled, suddenly storming up to me and grabbing me by the shirt collar. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Gladion watching in horror. The other grunts kept their eyes on him, kicking  him lightly for turning to face me. "You trying to be a hero or something? You're pathetic!"

"Lycanroc, bite!" I yelled, the wolf Pokémon storming up to the grunt and sinking its fangs into his skin. The man let go of me and writhed in pain, the other grunts watching with wide eyes. "You should learn how to solve your problems by battling, not useless violence!"

Let's get outta here," the attacked grunt mumbled angrily, giving me a dirty glare.

"Leave, you cowards," I growled in response.

"Thanks for ruining the performance, kid!" One yelled with a furrowed brow before turning to storm off. The rest of them followed suit, leaving me alone with Gladion.

"Babe," I exclaimed as I practically tackled him, knocking him to the ground with me on top of him. I felt tears stream down my cheeks like a faucet as I held onto him with a nearly inhuman grip. Completely choked up and at a loss of words, I tried to speak. "I'm so glad... that you're safe..."

"President Gladion! Are you o- WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!"

I removed my face from Gladion's chest and looked up, noticing a group of Aether foundation employees standing nearby. They all had horrified faces on, clearly shocked by something.

"What's the matter?" I asked cluelessly, furrowing my brow. My eyes slowly shifted downward, catching a glimpse of Gladion's shiny green eyes-- which seemed furious. My fave flushed tomato red as I became aware of the situation.

I had just been caught straddling Gladion in front of all of these employees.

I quickly jumped off of him, sprinting to the nearest bathroom. There was nothing that could help the level of embarrassment that I was feeling as I locked myself inside, panting to catch my breath. This was a weird welcome for just visiting my boyfriend.

"Hey!" A voice yelled minutes later, accompanied by a loud banging on the door. I jumped far from the door in surprise, wondering who needed to use the bathroom so urgently. "Come out of there, (y/n)!"

"G-Gladion?!" I stammered nervously.

"Yeah, it's just me. Open the door," he commanded. Hesitantly, I stepped over and flipped the walk, gingerly returning to my spot on the other side of the bathroom. An instant later, the door flung open with strength I didn't know a young adult could possess.

"What the hell was that?!" He yelled, a deep frown on his face.

"I-I'm sorry!" I bellowed in response. "I was just so happy you were ok!"

"You just embarrassed me in front of all of my employees!" He exclaimed, clenching his jaw. Suddenly, I felt anger well up inside of me, about to explode. Though I did not like fighting or getting angry, I just felt my emotions get the best of me.

"What were you going to do?! Get out of that situation yourself?" I retorted, storming across the room and grabbing the doorknob.

"(Y/n), wait-"

"I'm sorry I couldn't just watch you get hurt!" Suddenly, I flung myself out the door, retreating to the sleeping area I stayed in last time. I ran into the bedroom and sobbed, collapsing against the wall of the dark room.

After what felt like an eternity, I heard a light knocking at the door, accompanied by a female voice. "Miss (y/n), I'm coming in."

I watched the room fill with a faint light as Wicke walked in, flicking the light on. She had a small frown on her face, though she handed me a few tissues.

"Thank you," I murmured through weak sobs as I dabbed underneath my eyes. The woman crouched down next to me, helping me up to my feet.

"Are you ok now, my child?" She asked warmly as I nodded.

"I'm happy," she smiled. "The young master was very upset when I saw him last. He said you stormed off angrily when he tried to talk to you, and I knew exactly where you'd be hiding."

"You were right," I giggled. "Was he angry?"

"No, more upset with himself," she explained. "He seemed to be guilty of something. Do you have any idea why, my dear?"

"No, not really," I lied. "I need to talk to him though. Where could I find him?"

"Last time I checked, he was in his room," the glasses clad woman smiled warmly. "I can take you there, if you'd like."

"I-I'll find my way," I smiled as I turned to leave the room. "Thank you so much, Wicke!"

I sprinted down the hallway, wondering where Gladion's room might be. I was initially in the spare bedroom for Aether employees, so I knew I wouldn't find his room anywhere nearby. I went to Lusamine's mansion, which stood before me in all of its haunting glory.

"Gladion!" I yelled as I flung myself through the doors of the whitewashed building. I suddenly noticed the boy emerge from a nearby door, and angry scowl on his face.

"I'm sorry..." I whimpered weakly. "I was wrong and I made you embarrassed."

I was suddenly surprised by his warm embrace, followed by his lips crashing into mine.

"Don't apologize," he ordered, pulling away from me for air. "You saved me from those grunts, and I wouldn't be here if you didn't. I am so lucky to have you."

"But you we-"

"I don't care that I was embarrassed," he murmured, as if he was able to read my mind. "I'm happier to be alive. And I don't care what anyone else thinks, I'm happy as long as I'm with you."
