The four of us stood staring at each other, completely dumbfounded by the recent events. Lusamine was gone, that we were sure of. But was there any way to get her or Guzma back? And where did she even go?

"Guys," Gladion closed his eyes, putting a hand on his hip. "It's 1 in the morning. We should really be getting to bed." He let out a small sigh. "We can always discuss this in the morning."

"Yeah!" Hau exclaimed, a loud yawn erupting from his mouth. The three of us turned to Lillie, who nodded in agreement. "I would like to sleep in this bed, as it was one I shared with my mother before."

"Sounds good," we all agreed. Suddenly, Wicke came to talk to us, the clicking of her heels catching our attention.

"If you'd like, I can direct you guys to a place to sleep," she offered, her eyes gleaming through her pink rimmed glasses. No one objected, so Gladion, Hau and I followed the plump woman to a hallway with 3 identical doors.

"Miss (y/n), you can stay in here," she offered, and I muttered a quick "thank you" before opening the door and launching myself inside. I disregarded everything else in the room except for the bed, which was a large king size with pristine white bedding. I threw my melon-slice bag onto the adjacent nightstand and flung myself on the bed, falling asleep the instant my head hit the pillow.

Ugly girl. DISGUSTING girl. Horrid girl.

You made them ugly. You ruined my beautiful children.

A voice that sounded like Lusamine's growled at me, hostility evidently present. I suddenly noticed myself sitting on the floor, Lusamine towering over me. Except, it wasn't Lusamine. In the blink of an eye, she transformed into UB-01, the ultra beast that bore an uncanny resemblance to Lillie. Suddenly, more appeared, until I was surrounded by dozens of them. I put my head in my hands as the comments multiplied, the ultra beasts starting to close in on me.

You're a horrible, selfish, evil little girl. Kids like you should be burning in hell.

"Gh..."

You're nothing but a pest. You ruined them.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

I awoke with a jolt, beads of sweat traveling down my face. I glanced over to the nearby clock, realizing that it was only 3 in the morning. I tried to slow my heart rate, but it beat at the speed of light.

Was I really all of those nasty things?

Suddenly, I heard a knock at the door, which caused me to freeze like a deer caught in headlights.

"I'm coming in," a familiar male voice stated, putting me at ease. I heard the doorknob click as Gladion opened it, his brow furrowed in concern. He shut the door behind him, turning the dimmer up ever so slightly so that I could see him. "You doing ok?"

"I'm fine," I stammered, my mind still swimming from the nightmare. "Just... had a bad dream."

"You sure you're ok?" He asked, a frown forming on his lips. I gave him a quick nod as he turned away from me to go back to his room. Just as his hand met the doorknob, I called out to him again. "Gladion, wait."

"Hm?" He asked, his sudden brace face coming back on. With the turn of his head to face me, he asked, "What do you want?"

"Am I a burden?" I innocently asked. I watched as he whipped around, a sudden fire in his eyes. He sudden charged towards me, and I began to cower slightly in fear.

"Listen," he ordered, grabbing my chin to face him. "What my mom said to you was horrible. She has so many toxins in her body, all from the Ultra Beasts, which make her say and do horrible things."

"But am I?" I pressed, my voice wavering. He gave me a pained look, as if he was avoiding the question. I felt tears form in the corners of my eyes, and I had never felt more crushed in my entire life. He had done so much for me, always coming to save me, and I had let him down.

"No."

"No," he repeated, "you aren't. You could easily be able to fend in these situations yourself. I'm only going to say this once; even then, I don't mind coming to help you. In fact, I'm more than happy to."

"Wha-?" I mumbled, taken aback at his words. I blinked at him a few times before he sat down on the bed next to me.

"I'm going to stay in here," he said in an attempt to change the subject. "I'll sleep on the floor. I don't want you to have nightmares again."

"Don't do that!" I begged. I pat the bed next to me, and I watched as the blonde's face flushed bright pink. "Just come and sleep next to me."

"I..." his lips tried to form more words, but that was all that come out. In complete silence, he threw himself onto the far corner of the bed, trying to stay as far away from me as possible.

"Hey," I mumbled as I inched closer to him. "Don't be so afraid."

"(Y/n)..." he whispered, suddenly turning to wrap his arms around me. I felt my heart skip a beat at his warmth, the smell of cologne filling up my nostrils. I couldn't help but shake the goofy grin that formed on my face as I buried it into his chest. The blonde went out like a light, and I was in his embrace. It didn't take long for me to drift off as well, nothing but pleasant thoughts swimming in my mind.
