It's hot. Way too hot. I'm exhausted, but keep moving forward.
"Come on, (Y/N), we're almost there!" I look forward to find the sorce of the voice. It's Newts sister. I want to ask her where we're going, but no words escape my lips.

The sun slowly eases on the horizon and I get much cooler. I run to catch up.
"We'll be there in the morning." She says as we slow to a walk. I simply nod, not looking at her. "Hey, (Y/N)," she grabs my hand and I turn to look at her. "We're going to get him back, okay? Newt loves us both, he would never leave us for good." I hug her and a single tear escapes my eye. We walk on in silence. Hand in hand.

As the sun starts to rise again and we speed up, bot wanting to be trapped in the scorching heat. (ayyyyyyyyyy) We climb up a small hill and are met by the sight we have been trying to find for days. A giant concrete building with large letters painted on it. Wicked.
"We're finally here." I finally break our silence. The two of us run down the hill and towards the building. When we're only a few metres away, a bullet flys past my face. We both freeze. What the hell?
"Stay where you are!" I hear a man call out to us. "Put your hands up." We follow his instructions, dreading what might happen if we didn't. Five or so soldiers start slowly making their way towards us.
"What are you two doing here?" One woman asks when they're closer to us.
"We came to see my brother." I nod in agreement.
"We don't allow visitors. Leave." Another man says.
"No, please, please let us see him. We'll do anything!" I say, finally finding my voice. The soldiers exchange odd glances with eachother and one walks off talking into a walky-talky. He comes back over to us and nods at his fellow soldiers.
"Come with us." We happily follow them as the lead us into the building. Wanting nothing more than to see Newt.

We're taken into an office and without telling us what we're supposed to do, the soldiers all leave.
"Do you think they'll really let us see him?"
"I don't know." I link our hands together again.
"It's been so long." She says with a sniff and I pull her into a hug. It has been so long. It's been years. Newt left is years ago. But, even though I haven't seen or spoken to him in years, I still loved him, and I could feel he still loved me too.

We pull away from our hug when we hear the door click open. A woman walks in and smiles at us. She doesn't speak until she's sat behind her desk.
"Hello girls, I am Chancellor Ava Paige, please take a seat." She gestures to the chair by her desk and we wearily sit. "So you would like to see someone?" We nod. "I must say, we don't get a lot of visitors here. Who is it you are here to see exactly?" Her facial expression hasn't changed at all, she still has a very fake smile plastered across her face.
"Newt." We inform her. The woman nods and looks through some files she brought in with her. "I assume you know why he's here with us?"
"He said he was going to help you with an experiment." She nods and goes back to her files.
"It is my understanding that you said you'd do anything to see him?" I look over at his sister, we exchange a knowing glance and I look back at the Chancellor.
"That is correct."
"Wonderful. Follow me girls." And without another word she leaves the room and we follow.

"The Maze is designed to help us combat the heat from the outside so the boys can live rather normal lives. The experiment is to help us find a cure to this horrid disease thats plaguing our world." She explained to us as we walk around the facility. "This is the box where we send supplies and new... helpers, who wish to assist us in finding the cure. We have a second facility not far from here that houses the all girls maze. We wanted to see if gender had an affect on the results." She leads us to a room full of peopld watching monitors and taking notes. We stop behind them and look at all the monitors. None of them really looked special, just a normal farmland. I then spot a sight I have been needing to see for years. Newt. I wack his sisters arm and point to the screen that shows him walking around to different people.
Wait, is he limping? He hasn't always had that limp, what happened?

"I see you found him." Chancellor says to us.
"When can we see him?" I ask with hope in my eyes.
"You just did." The hope then vanishes.
"What?" I feel my heart sink as the soldiers from earlier surround us.
"I said you could see him, I never said he could see you." She says with her fake smile still on her face. She turns to the soldiers. "Inject them with the serum then take them to the other facility." She looks straight at me. "Implant a false memory of a brother into this ones head. Make her think it's that Gally boy, and get a Griever to sting him so he also has the false memory. If either of these two girls remember and they realize they remember the same boy, something could go wrong."
I reach my hand over and grab his sisters hand (I know what her name is but if i said it, it would be a spoiler. So thats why im addressing her as Newts sister all the time) and with my other hand I grab the necklace he got me, that I have cherished for years.

The soldiers grab us and I thrash in their grasp. I feel a sharp pain in my side and turn to see needle with blue liquid being put into me. I thrash around more, but start getting tired. I manage to break free and so does his sister. We start running and exchange a knowing glance. Get to the box. The soldiers are right behind us but we keep running.

When we reach the box we notice the button for it is on the other side of the room.
"(Y/N), go, I'll press the button."
"No, I can't leave you." She pushes me into the box.
"You both need each other more than you need me." She runs over and pushes the button. The doors start closing. "Find me again when you get out!" She yells at me as the soldiers grab her. The doors completely shut and no matter how much I want to scream and fight, I could only lay down and sleep. The blue liquid made me weak.

It all went dark.
