I stopped crying and stood up. My face still wet with tears. Newt held my hand tight as we stood with our friends. All eyes on the woman.

"All things happen for a purpose," she said. "You must understand this." Shouts and loud noises could be heard echoing from beyond the door the Chancellor had entered through.

The woman was visibly panicked. Everything seemed to move as if in fast motion.

People had burst through the door, tackled the woman, and shot her. There was no time to react. The people shot at the men and women that were behind the windows. Then we were all running. Following the people through the complex and outside. There was blood and bodies everywhere I looked.

Newt held my hand through it all.

We got outside and were greeted by more people and a bus. We all clambered on. I sat with Newt, trying to catch my breath and process everything that had just happened. I kept thinking over it all. The last 2 hours running on repeat in my head. The Maze. The Grievers. The Hole. Escape. Chuck. My anger. Gally. Newt wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head on his chest. Listening to his heartbeat. Once everyone was on the bus we drove off.

We had no idea who these people were or where we're going, but no one cared. We all just wanted to get as far away from WICKED, and the Maze, as possible.

As we drove it began to rain, it was difficult to see the cities and towns we were passing through. Outside the bus were people, they all looked ratty and in pain. They would bang on the sides of the bus, but it never stopped for them. We just kept driving through it all.

After hours of endless driving, the bus finally came to a halt. We had stopped outside a large building with lots of windows. The people who rescued us ushered us through the front doors and up several flights of stairs. We reached a door and opened it to find a large dormitory with bunk beds scattered around it. It all looked so colourful and clean.

We were assigned beds, given clothes and bathroom things, and dinner was served. I couldn't stop smiling. Newt kept looking at me with a smirk on his face.

"What?" I say, accidentally spitting a little. Newt laughed at me.

"I can't remember the last time I saw you this happy." He places his hand on my cheek and pulls me in for a kiss.

"Get a room." Minho called, but we ignored him.

After eating we were told it was time for bed. Teresa and I started following the boys, but were stopped by some of the staff.

"Your room is this way ladies." One of the women informed us. Teresa and I exchanged a look, but we didn't question it. I hugged Newt and kissed him goodnight.

"I'll see you in the morning, okay?" He sounded slightly worried.

"You'll probably have to wake me up." I laughed, trying to reassure him. He hugs me again, a little tighter. We kiss again and I follow Teresa and the woman to our room.

As I place my head on the pillow, an uneasy feeling washes through me. It can't all be over so fast. And what about the other all girls maze?

Then it sinks in, we've escaped. I can tell Newt everything that I've remembered and they can't do anything about it. I'll tell him tomorrow. I hope he isn't mad I kept this all to myself for so long.
