I didn’t even have to concentrate to turn into Espeon. It just came to me, and I immediately sent off a calm vibe to everyone in the area. The electric shock stopped, and I jumped off the bunk. Right where Georgia slept was a Galvantula.

“Georgia? Is that you?” Pen asked.

“You transformed!” I cheered. The Galvantula morphed back into Georgia.

“I just transformed! That was crazy!” Georgia said, bewildered.

“Nice job, Georgia! That was pretty quick! Just… try not to electrocute Emmy next time…” Summer commented. Georgia started laughing, and I joined in, and soon the room was filled with laughter.

“What happened here?” Destiny appeared in our doorway.

“Georgia just transformed for the first time. It’s okay Destiny,” Summer replied. Destiny nodded, then turned and left, and everyone went back to sleep.

When I woke up again, there was a chill in the air. I turned to look out the window and saw that the ground was covered in a layer of sparkling snow as ferries of snowflakes still drifted through the air.

“Guys! It’s snowing!” I exclaimed.

“Whoa!” Pen said, marveling at the beautiful scene outside.

“Yeah? And? That happens sometimes guys!” Meadow stated.

“Well, I don’t have a coat. I forgot one,” I replied.

“Why don’t we just go to the store then? It’s right next to the eating hall,” Summer suggested. No one told me there was a store!

We walked out into the frigid cold air and down to the eating hall. This time, though, Summer and Meadow took a left where there appeared to be just a wall. Georgia, Pen, and I followed them and it turned out that the darkness was causing it to look that way, and there was a store right there with shelves full of everything you could possibly need. A teenage guy sat a counter playing on his 3DS.

“Everything’s free, so just pick a coat,” Summer explained. Pen also didn’t bring a coat, so she picked out a bright hot pink one and I got a purple one with a fuzzy hood. When we got back outside, Georgia bent down into the snow and came right back up with a snow ball. In an instant I had snow on my new coat.

“Georgia!!” I screeched, scooping up snow and hurling it back at her. Of course, I have terrible aim, so it ended up flying the other way and hitting Pen. Soon all of us were laughing and throwing snowballs at each other.

That night, we gathered around again (that seemed to become a routine – us girls talking and playing games at night in our cabin) and somehow the topic got to boys. Pen was pretty much doing all the talking, about all the guys she had crushes on back home, all her exes, and all the cute boys she was seeing here. The rest of us weren’t really talking. Georgia looked distracted, Summer looked like she was thinking about something sad, and Meadow looked like she wasn’t really interested.

“So Georgia. Did you have any boyfriends back home?” I asked, emphasizing the word boyfriend.

“Psh, no. Guys don’t really like me. And anyway, I’m going to marry Wind Cuepointe. He’s hot,” she replied, referencing a famous actor. I laughed, then turned to Meadow.

“What about you, Meadow?”

“I don’t really like guys,” was her immediate response.

“What about Lance?” Summer questioned, grinning. Meadow smiled shyly, blushing slightly. I raised my eyebrows in question. “Lance is her best friend and has been for… well, ever!”

“What about you Summer? Anyone you got your eye on?” I asked.

“What? Oh, well, there was one guy… I’m not sure if we were dating. I liked him, he liked me, I think. But we didn’t really go out. Then one day he left. No one knows where he went, and he took his stuff with him,” she stopped and thought a minute. “He was a Charmander Gen. Chip.” How strange for a guy to just get up and leave, without a goodbye. Especially for poor Summer.

At first I didn’t know how to respond to that, but then I realized there is no respond. So I got up and hugged her.
