"Emmmmmy!!!" I awoke to Georgia screaming my name and bashing my face with a pillow. Lovely. I groaned and turned over. "You have to wake up!" Ugh. Fine. I rolled off the bed, then realized that I was on the top bunk as I plunged to the floor.

"OUCH!" I screamed as I landed face first into the ground. I looked up to see Pen laughing hysterically, as well as everyone else in the cabin. Poo.

"Okay well 'Emmy', you need to get dressed and meet us outside in ten minutes," some tall girl with sand colored hair said. I didn't see a mark on her. Georgia and Pen helped me up and I grabbed my big sweatshirt, a purple tee, a pair of skinny jeans, and my lavender soft boots. It's colder out now, since it's December.

I met the other girls in my cabin outside, which there were nine of, including me. It seems like there haven't been too many first level girl Gens, even though in my old classes there were a lot more girls.

"Follow me. We're going to go eat breakfast and get to know each other better," the tall girl said. We walked to the eating hall and sat together. "Everybody, I'm your class leader. I think a way we could all get to know each other better is for each of you to say your name, your Pokemon, your favorite color, and show your mark," she explained. "I'll go first. I'm Summer, the Pokémon I can transform into is Squirtle, my favorite color is blue, and..." she turned around and lifted the back of her shirt, revealing the pattern of a Squirtle's shell.

Georgia was next, saying her favorite color was green. Then my turn. After, I learned that Pen was a Piplup and her favorite color was pink. Everyone else presented themselves too. Then we had to go to school.

We walked into the large building and went up to the third floor, where our class would be. The hallway held five rooms: our classroom, the boy first level classroom, the two teachers' rooms, and a bathroom.

"Hello girls! Welcome, new students!" a cheery voice exclaimed. "I'm Mrs. Merriet, and I will be your teacher. Let's get started!" She had dark gray short hair, and was tall and slender.

After attendance, she dove right in to reading class, and the day was pretty uneventful. Pen, Georgia, and I all went back to the cabin and did our homework. Soon it was time for Gen class. Everyone met in one of the fields outside camp.

"Alright everyone! Listen up!" our instructor bellowed. He was acting a lot like a drill sergeant. "Every type will have a station! Dual types can choose which one they would like to go to, but I recommend you choose wisely because that will be your class for the rest of the year. SPLIT UP!" I hurried over to the psychic section, where some hippie dude was meditating.

"Hello students. Please, call me Joe. I will be your-" he sharply breathed in, then let it out slowly, "psychic instructor. Now, let's focus on calming down. That will help you transform into your Pokémon." I sheepishly raised my hand.

"Um, I've already transformed once," I tentatively said. Everyone gasped and turned to look at me.

"WHAT? I've been here for a MONTH and I STILL haven't transformed!" one "popular" girl cried in disbelief.

"It seems like we have a prodigy on our hands. Meadow, please, demonstrate for us a battle against her," Joe said in a tranquil voice. She nodded and brought me to a battlefield. I laughed nervously.

"I, uh, don't really have any experience battling... I was planning on becoming a day care center owner," I stammered.

"It's okay. I'll go easy on you," Meadow said nonchalantly. She had long, straight, raven black hair, but didn't look like a raven at all. She was actually really pretty.

"Well, here goes nothing," I muttered under my breath before calming my mind and transforming into Espeon. Across from me, Meadow changed into Meloetta.

"Let the battle begin!" Joe shouted from the sidelines.
