I sighed and walked out the bathroom, making my way to my new class, I have no idea what I’ve gotten myself into, me a teacher, and a English teacher at that, I stepped in and saw everyone sitting at their desks with their phones and mp3 players out.

“Ok class, I am Mr Ambrose and I am your new English teacher” I explained.

“congrats man, that’s amazing” a boy said in the front row clapping his hands, everyone laughed and giggled, this insolent little pest thinks he so good huh, we will see about that.

“You” I pointed.

“Me?” the troublemaking boy asked.

“Yes you, the class idiot, or do you prefer just idiot, because I can call you that if you like” I said with a grin.

I heard giggled echo the room, laughing at the boy.

“My name is Jeremy” he snorted.

“Ah ok well Jeremy, it looks like you will be staying after class and cleaning all the gum from under the tables” I sneered.

“What, bu-but that’s unfair” he stuttered.

“S-spit I-it out Jeremy, this is English you’d think at your age you would at least be able to speak the language properly” I giggled, Jeremy didn’t say anything after that, knowing it would only get him in more trouble and make him the class clown permanently.

“because I’m new here, I haven’t got my planner of what we will do this semester, so until then we are going to have a simple assignment to complete” I stood up and started walking around and placing a book on each students table.

“You will each read this book, William Shakespeare’s: Julius Caesar and then you will each write a 2000 word essay on what you think this book is really about, in your own words” I said sitting back down at my desk.

“Excuse me sir but how long do we have for this assignment?” another boy asked raising his hand.

“you will all have 2 weeks from today, I expect it on my desk by the due date, if it is late then you will get a zero” I smiled, this is more fun than I thought.

We still had another 30 minutes before class ended, so everyone sat quietly and started reading the book I assigned them, I looked up and saw the empty seat, I just wanted that bell to ring, because bailey didn’t show up for class and I don’t want him getting into any trouble. After a good 20 minutes of sitting there board out of my mind, I had enough and decided I didn’t want to wait anymore.

“Ok class, since you have all been so focused on your work, I have decided to give you all a ten minute early mark” I rushed. They all cheered yes under their breath, as they filed out of the room one after the other.

“Ah Jeremy can I speak to you for a minute?” I asked directing him to take a seat.

“Sir Do I really have to clean the tables?” he questioned.

“I guess I can let it slide this one time, but only if you don’t cause a ruckus in my class again” I explained.

“Thank you sir” he said with relief.

“But that’s not what I called you back here to talk about” I pushed.

“Then what sir?” he asked curious.

“Bailey harper” I said.

“What about him” he replied.

“What do you know about him” I stated.

“Well not much, he keeps to himself, he isn’t often here anymore, his family aren’t often around, and that is really all I know” he said.

“Ok well thank you, you can go now” I said.

After Jeremy left I sat down and wondered what is was that would make bailey take drugs, or why he didn’t come to class, actually it was because of me he didn’t go to class, but I want him, I plan to make him mine, no matter what it takes.
