Chapter 17

Lucifer’s POV

 I paced back and forth in my new place…I was so nervous…me…the devil…nervous? It sounds like a bad joke but I can’t help myself…bailey is just too cute for words.

I paced a little bit longer before making my way to his friend ariels house…I knocked on the door and Ariel came to the door all dolled up…she’s a very beautiful girl.

“Hey…bailey is getting ready, he had a stumble and it slowed him down a bit” she giggled.

“Is he alright?” I worried.

“Yeah, just hurt is pride is all” she said trying to hold her tongue.

I nodded as she invited me in and directed me to the lounge.

“How old are you?” she asked.

“Uhh…in human years I dunno 30 maybe but I always forget what I say” I laughed.

“So you’re the ‘devil’ right? So why are you here…what are you after…what do you want with bailey?” she questioned.

“I came here on a whim but I have fallen in love with him so I want him to be mine” I blushed.

“You know he’s not something to play with, he isn’t a toy…so trying to own him won’t get you very far” she explained, it pissed me off but what she says is true.

“I’m ready to go” bailey said walking down the stairs.

“You both excited?” I said, not knowing what to say.

“Yep” they said in unison.

On the way to the carnival they were in the back giggling and whispering…I haven’t seen bailey so happy before…it made me smile.

“OMG, turn this song upppp” Ariel shouted.

I nodded and cranked the volume as they both swayed their heads side to side singing rude by some band called magic?

“I love this song” they giggled.

“Were here” I exclaimed.

“Yay” they said raising their hands like children.

We spent hours and hours on all sorts of rides, the boats were my favourite though because I got to sit down and watch bailey stare into space…or the water anyways.

I did eat way too much, every time they wanted food they both made me try some too…cotton candy…chips…chocolate…ice-cream…hot dogs…I had no idea humans could eat so much.

“Oh a haunted house…can we go in there” bailey asked tugging on my jacket like a baby.

“Sure” I said following them in.

“Ha-ha look, look, it’s the devil” they giggled.

“Excuse me, I am not some red horned chubby baby” I sneered, crossing my arms.

“Aww is Lucifer pouting?” bailey grinned.

“No, I am NOT, jus this is an offense and rather ugly to display” I retorted.

“Bailey it’s getting really late, it’s like 5pm and my father has been ringing for ages” she panicked.

“Umm ok, well can we go now luc, I mean we have to take her home” bailey explained.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” I questioned.

“Huh?” he asked confused.

“To let her go home, to her parents, wont they do bad things to her?” I explained, after knowing what has gone on from bailey, it’s not safe.

“Well…no…but they keep calling” Ariel said worried.

“bailey, Ariel, I have an idea…with my abilities I can make your parents forget that they hate you…but I’m not sure how long it’ll work for…if you will let me” I said smiling.

“But why would you do that for me?” she asked.

“Because your baileys friend so you re my friend too, and think of it as payment for the advice earlier” I laughed.

“Advice?” bailey asked confused.

“Nothing” Ariel butted in.

We all headed home after that, Ariel was nervous you could see it in her face, I hope my abilities aren’t too weak to pull this off.

“We are here” she sighed, stepping out the car.

Bailey waited in the car as we both headed for the door.

“WHERE WERE YOU, YOU PATHETIC PIECE OF TRASH?” her mother and father yelled in unison.

“WHO IS THIS?” her father questioned looking at me.

I scoffed and barged my way inside.

“Excuse me, what do you think you are doing?” her mother said.

Well here goes nothing.

“LISTEN TO ME…after tonight, you BOTH will stop blaming your daughter for the accident, you will treat her with love and respect, AM I CLEAR” I said coercing them.

“y-yes” They replied.

They walked off in shock, well I guess I’m not out of shape after all.

“Wow, thank you so much” she smiled, giving me a hug.

“You’re welcome” I said giving her a hug back and saying goodbye, closing the door behind me I saw bailey waiting on the porch.

“Didn’t I say wait in the car?” I asked.

“Yeah but I wanted to listen and see if it worked…you did a good thing then…thank you” he said.

“Well it was the right thing to do, she doesn’t deserve that” I said.

“Can you take me home please, I’m not feeling well” he said, well no wonder with all the crap he ate hahaha.

As we were driving I smelt mutt…it couldn’t be.

“Bailey have you been in contact with that wolf since we last talked about him?” I worried.

“No, I haven’t heard from him, why?” he asked confused.

“Because he is outside your house” I said pointing as we pulled up into the drive way.
