Chapter 23

2 weeks later
Lilly is now officially two weeks old.
Maggie left us to go to Terminus, for Glenn because Daryl and I told her it probably isn't as safe as she might think it is.
A few days after Maggie left, we found Rick, Carl, and Michonne.
They congratulated us on Lilly as I am now carrying her and we are walking on a rail road, heading towards Terminus.

A couple days later
We are finally a group again, almost at Terminus.
"Here. Lemme get her." Daryl said carefully grabbing her from my arms.
He put her head on his shoulder, one arm on her back and one arm on her butt, with his crossbow on his back.
I heard Maggie and Glenn giggle at him.
I looked at Daryl and Lilly.
"So cute." i said and he smiled

We finally got to Terminus.
It has been a few hours sence they had gone in, and I saw someone moving around in the woods.
I saw the person getting closer to me and I saw that it was Carol.
"Carol?" i said and her head shot up from the ground
"Sammie? What are you doing out here?" she asked
"They went in and I stayed back because I didn't know if it was really actually safe." i told her and she nodded her head
"I see you had your baby." she pointing to Lilly
"Yeah." i said and she started stirring and I felt her yawn, so I faced her frontwards
"Wow. She's looks so much like Daryl." she told me and I nodded my head
"I know, right." i said and she smiled
"Um, so. I have been traveling with Tyreese and he has Judith. They're back in this cottage, that way." she said and pointed
"Just follow my foot steps the best you can." she told me
"I'm going to go and help them." she said
"I knew that it wasn't going to be safe." i said and she nodded her head
"Good luck and please don't get killed." i told her, smiling
"Yeah, well, same to you." she told me and I smiled to her and we both made her way
I walked off, following Carol's foot steps.
"You hardly cry, don't you? You must've been made for this world. You're so quiet." i told her and I looked behind me, seeing a walker so close.
I ran, trying to stay on Carol's footprints.
"Help!" i shouted and I heard a knife behind me
I turned around and saw that Tyreese stabbed it in the head, Lilly clapping her hands and laughing.
"Violent. I see." i said to her quietly as he looked at me and came up to me to hug me, Lilly too.
"I haven't seen you in such a long time! Look at her, she's so cute." he said, gently pinching her cheeks
"Looks so much like her father." he said
"So, where's Judith?" i asked him
"Inside, where it's warm. It's been getting colder out." he told me and we walked into the small house looking building
I saw Judith on the floor, crawling around.
"How did you get out?" he asked her, picking her back up
Lilly started reaching for Judith as Tyreese came closer to me. Once he was close to me, the two girls hugged.
"Must be long-lost sisters." i said and Tyreese nodded his head
"So, what happened here?" i asked him, seeing blood on the ground and things a little messy.
"Well, Carol and I captured a man from the Terminus, and he hand his hands on Judith's neck. He told me to go outside, and there were so many of them out there, I just hoped that I wouldn't die like that and I didn't. I took them all down and came back in, saving Judith from that man." he told me and looked at Judith, who finally pulled away from that hug.
"That must have been terrifying." i said and he nodded his head
"Was there anyone else you had to kill, before coming to here?" i asked and he looked at me, eyes welling up
"The two girls.." he said and I remembered back at the prison there were two little girls, and they were sisters.
"Yeah, I remember them. Their Dad died from that illness, right?" i asked and he nodded his head
"The oldest sister, Lizzie, she just didn't understand walkers. She treated them like regular human beings. Mika, the younger sister, she had a good understanding of it. So, one day, Carol and I came back from hunting. We left Lizzie and Mika in charge of caring for Judith until we got back, which wasn't long. When we got back... Lizzie held a knife in her hand, her hand covered in Mika's blood. She was just about to get Judith, as well, but we came back in time for that." he told me, looking down as a tear slips from his eye.
"So, what happened to Lizzie?" i asked
"We decided that she just can't be around anyone anymore. That she just wasn't right for the way the world is now. So, we..." he paused, looking back up at me
"Oh." i said, realizing that they killed her
"We just wanted to make sure everyone was safe, especially Judith." he said, reasoning
"I- I understand. You had to protect Judith at all costs, even if that means killing." i said
"C- Carol took her out into the field, I watched from the window. I could tell she didn't want to do it. I heard the shot fired and... Carol cried about it, like any normal person, but it was something that had to be done." he said and I nodded my head
"I see them." i said as Tyreese wiped away the tears
