Surveillance
Chapter 1 Part 1
Ever since I was born it has felt like someone was watching me. I figured it came with the super human powers, because my parents felt it also. Yes, I did say super human power. My parents and I are all super humans, the town freaks if you will. We all have rock solid skin, nothing can cut through it, and we also have the ability to walk through all objects. I, Jared Karp am able to shape shift into anything, and talk to animals. My father, Jonathan Karp has telekinesis, and my mother, Abigail Karp has super speed. My parents don't want anyone to know we have special powers; they want me to be able to live a normal life. So nobody is aware of our powers, no one really knows who we are, and no one really talks to us. Especially all the kids at my school none of them talk to me, they all think I'm "strange". Although it is true, it would be nice to have one friend. But anyway I enjoy quiet time; so I don't mind that much.

I sighed and stepped onto the bus, another day of school, another day of boredom. As I made my way to the back of the bus I heard some of the kids in my class whispering about me; of course they were. If I didn't know better I would turn into a bear and scare them off the bus, but I did know better, so I wouldn't. We pulled up to the school shortly after the bus picked me up. I waited for everyone to get off the bus before I got up; I always did so no one would trip me. I learned that the hard way. I got up and started to walk towards the front of the bus. As I started to step down off the bus, I noticed a big, windowless, spotless, white van; it was peculiar. I didn't think it mattered too much so I continued to walk towards the school; as I neared closer to the school a man in an also spotless suit stopped in front of me.
"Can I help you?" I asked in an annoyed tone
"Are you Jared Karp?" he asked
"Yea, what's it to ya?"
"Then yes, you can help me. Come this way." He grabbed my arm and started to pull me towards the white van. I stopped and yanked my arm away.
"What'd you think you're doing?"
"Jared, don't be difficult. Just come with me." He said sternly
"Why?"
"Just come. Don't make me drag you."
"Well I'm not moving." I sat down on the moist, mossy grass.
"Fine then." He bent down and jabbed my arm with what looked like a black tube with a small strip of purple lightning on the end. I felt an electric current shoot through my arm and to the rest of my body. I felt dizzy.
"What was that?" I asked hazily
"Nothing serious it just subdued your powers. You know, so they don't work. I had to use it on your parents to."
"You have my parents? Wait, what do you mean my powers don't work." I asked in an annoyed tone again. I tried to shape shift into a wolf. Nothing. A bear. Nothing.
"What did you do?!" I screamed
"Oh just shut up kid! Don't make a scene. The last thing we need is the police on our butts." He grabbed my shirt and lifted me up by the collar. He started walking toward the white van. I tried to kick him but it seemed as if he didn't even notice. He flew open the door of the van and threw me in the back. He climbed in right after me.
"Let's move." He told the man in the driver's seat. He had an identical white suit on and a pair of black sunglasses; the only black thing in the van besides my clothes.
"Why is everything white?" I asked
"We are the ones who will ask the questions. Just keep your mouth shut and we won't hurt you. Oh wait, you don't have to keep your mouth shut, we can do that for you!" he said while slamming a piece of duct tape over my mouth. Before I could protest and rip the tape from my face, he grabbed my hands and wrapped duct tape around them also. Then my feet, and soon I couldn't move my limbs away from one another.
I tried to shape shift to a small animal so I could slip out of the duct tape again and again, but nothing happened. I tried to get my hands and feet out of the duct tape but yet nothing happened. I tried again and again it must have been multiple hours that we were in this van because my phone vibrated in my back pocket like it always did at noon. I might as well catch up on my sleep I wasn't going anywhere.
