Her eyes continued to flicker.
Back and forth.
She couldn't take her eyes off him.
Yet at the same time, she didn't dare to look at him.
He disgusted her.
He smirked, oh that smirk.
"Oh please, you love me. Just stop trying to prove to me that you don't."
She felt nauseous.
This girl swallowed all of her pride, dignity, just about everything she had left.
"God, I am not trying to prove to you that I don't love you. I am trying to prove it to myself."
He looked astonished.
As usual, something flashed through his eyes.
It looked like a warm, chocolate bar melting.
Love.
Admiration.
But it disappeared before she could ever identify the look, the feeling.
Literally, saved by the bell.
She stood and never looked back.
He watched her walk away, and couldn't stop but feeling.
He was feeling, falling.
Falling for this girl.
And it sickened him.
