Chapter 6

Recap:

Walking to school, I got a huge shock.

Alex was sitting on top of his car, as a huge crowd surrounded him.
He had a guitar in his hand and had a smirk plastered in his face.

When he saw me coming, he said, "There you are, my princess."

Let me tell you, which got me very, very confused.

Alex stared at me, with a smirk plastered on his god- like face.

I stared back, suspicious.

"What are you trying to do, King?", I asked him, cocking a brow at him.

"Tell me-", he addressed his loyal fan base , " how much do you want me?"

Is he serious now?

Girls shouted excitedly, reaching out towards Alex with their outstretched hands.

"Alexander, baby I'm here for you."

"Alexander! Alexander!"

"Al, baby", a high- pitched voice called out. Everyone turned to look as Ashley, the Queen Bee, more like Queen Bitch, made her way towards the car Alex was residing on top of.

Her cronies rushed after their master, hobbling on their ridiculously high heels.

Ashley walked towards the Mercedes, arching her head to look at the love of her life (or you can say bed) she shot him a brilliant smile, but Alex looked unfazed as ever.

"It's Alexander", he corrected.

Pouting slightly, she wiggles her fingers towards him in a action that made me want to laugh.

Ashley turned towards the crowd, surveying it before turning back to Alex.

"Hun, no one wants you like I do."

True.

Apparently, the crowd of girls didn't think so.

Defensive shouts rose up in the crowd, as they protested how desirable Alex is to them.

Un-freaking-believable.

Bored, I started to walk, and towards the school doors, not wanting to miss the first period and get detention.

I came to a halt as I heard someone call my name.

None other than Alex.

He looked annoyed. I would too if guys would be shouting how much they want me in their bed.

But hey! It's Alex we're talking about, who knows he enjoys stuff like this? You never know.

"Yes?", I ask him, suddenly irked by him.

I noticed that everyone had stopped shouting how much they want Alex, as they stood silently watching what was about to happen.

I watched as Alex took a deep breath before grabbing the guitar, which was sitting next to him. He started strumming his fingers and a melodic tune filler the atmosphere.

From the corner of my eye I saw Ashley grinning like a cherish cat, probably thinking Alex was doing this for her.

I'm sorry for you, sweetie.

Not.

"All of these girls, but they don't compare
They ain't like us, so I don't really care
All these temptations
But I'm not tempted at all
Cause you're all that I want. They talk about how much they want me. They talk about how much they want me in their bed. They don't really care. But I know you do. Enough for me to make me do this.", Alex hopped off from the roof of his car.

He held eye contact with me, as he walked in my direction.

I gulped, suddenly nervous.
This has never happened to me ever before. No guy has ever showed the remotest of interest in me. And when it's finally happening, it's all fake. But it's happening.

"Oh my god, Al is finally proposing to me!", I hear Ashley squeal, but I really don't care right now.

"Mads", he whispered.

It all seemed so, so real. Like he really liked me, like.....

Snap out of it Madison Parker! Remember, it's all a game! A game!

I searched his face, as he stopped few centimetres away from me.

Distinctly, I heard Ashley cry out something.

There. I saw it. A hint of humour in those forest green eyes of his. Of course, it was all a joke, a game to him.

And to me. Don't forget.

"Will you be my girlfriend?", he asked causing everyone to gasp.

It was the truth. We all knew it.

Alexander King didn't do girlfriends, and here he was, proposing to me.

Everyone was shocked. They knew what I was going to say.

But actually they didn't.

Alex was one of them, I knew it. He thought I was going to say yes. And I was.....?

I slightly smirked as I stared at Alex's cocky smile.

He was going to taste his own medicine.

Everyone held their breath as I gave the awaiting crowd their answer.

So I don't know if any body knows here, that this book was originally supposed to come out on the 1st of January, but I published it earlier cause princess_aliyah_1  wanted me to.
And actually, if I hadn't published it earlier I wouldn't have gotten such amazing and supportive readers.
