With my hair blowing behind me, my eyes closed, turned upwards towards the sky, I'd never felt more free.

Cruising through the late night traffic in a small town city where on Saturdays no one sleeps, I felt at bliss.

At this moment, there's nothing holding me back.

"Go on a little faster.", I urged Tristan.

"Are you sure?"

I caught a hint of a smirk on his face in the review mirror, a spark of a challenge in his stormy grey eyes.

It was definitely a change from his usual stony look.

"Go on, show me your best."

"You're going to regret that, love."

My heart fluttered in my chest at his nickname. Is it wrong for me to special for being the only girl at our school to catch a glimpse of the side he hides?

I let out a squeal as Tristan raced the bike forward, us riding at a crazy speed.

I hurriedly wrapped my arms around his torso, afraid I'd fall and crack open my head.

I felt Tristan tense at my touch.

"Wohooo!", I cried out as the wind chased along us, my hair wild, my eyes wide, a sudden high for speed taking over me.

A laugh escaped my mouth.

Tristan was slowly getting at ease, as he shone his head at me.

Was that amusement I caught there? Oh Tristan, I'm onto you boy.

Suddenly, the sound of sirens filled the air.

Turning my head around, I caught a police car chasing us.

"Shit.", Tristan cursed under his breath.

"What are we going to do now?", I asked him, fear gnawing at my chest.

"We play a game."

"Game?", I shouted, taken back.

"Of mouse and cat. Hold on, Maddie."

And that's what I did.

With my heart beating away wildly in my chest, I gripped onto Tristan tight as he increased the speed to the max.

Oh lord, please not tonight. This isn't how I want to die.

Moving around streets and different neighbourhoods, Tristan planned to get  the police off our trail by tricking them.

"Tristan!", I screamed, as we drove dangerously close to another car.

"Relax.", all he did was shake his head.

Soon enough, we'd lost the police as we drove to the edge of the town, where all we saw were trees and nothing beyond.

I shivered.

The atmosphere was cold and dark, with practically no one around.

I gulped.
