Ryan's pupils switched from human to reptilian as his instincts starting popping off. The bullet moved in slow motion, slowly traveling to Karla's forehead. Taking off his mask, he shot mist out of his wrists to burst out of the arm-lock and zoom after Karla. He grabbed her by her waist, and the two rolled out of the way! He thought he was quick enough, but unfortunately, the bullet grazed his shoulder, ripping through the fabric of his clothes. Ryan hunched over Karla holding her in her arms as he grimaced. His abnormal blood dripped from out of his arm, staining his pants with the blood's blue tint. Robin stared at the two, her eyes wide in disbelief. Her shock was short-lived. However, she closed her eyes and chuckled as she finally put two and two together.

" Nice to finally meet you, Riot." Robin whispered as his eyes widened, " What? You don't think I heard about your shenanigans? I've been quite interested in your adventures. " 

" Weren't you in prison. " Ryan winced.

" Ha. Prison. " Robin laughed, " Let's just say I have friends in high places. I haven't seen a jail cell in years. "

" Well...that's about to c-change. " Ryan coughed, slowly getting to his feet. 

" Does that wound hurt? " Robin laughed, " It's a mixture from our good friends at Genesis Labs. Designed to take down almost any abnormal, let's say it'll suck. "

" Ceylan? " Karla saw Ryan's face get covered in beads of sweat.

" Yeah...I'm fine. " Ryan panted. 

" Quit lying. " Robin raised the gun.

BANG!

Ryan acted fast and grabbed Karla and jumped backward offstage, attempting to dodge it. It was almost a complete failure, the bullet zoomed close to his face and grazed his cheek! " I'm...slower? " He thought as his feet touched the ground, landing in the middle of the crowd. Robin laughed and snapped her fingers, and suddenly, everyone in the group drew their guns and pointed at the two.

" Oh...shit. " Karla muttered.

Ryan groaned as blood dripped from his mouth onto his collar. Using his enhanced agility, he leaped high into the air, landing on the chandelier above.

" Ryan, this isn't looking too good. " Karla whispered as he coughed.

" Be quiet. " Ryan groaned while looking at the skylight above. 

" Did you just shut me up? "

" Not talking to you. "

" Then who?- "

" There's a dragon in my head. "

" Uh..."

" Look! " Ryan saw flames shoot across the sky, " Heat Wave is still here. We can meet up with her and get the hell out of here. "

" What do you think you're doing? " Karla asked seeing Ryan stand with wobbly knees. 

" Getting out of here. " Ryan replied, leaping into the air, preparing to crash through the skylight.

The crowd fired their bullets into the air, hitting the glass and the chandelier. Ryan felt a sharp pain in his side, making him grimace loudly. They started plummeting back to the ground, Karla turning her entire arms into a giant bone shield. As she blocked the bullets, they crashed back into the floor. Robin aimed at Karla's head and shot another round. Using her blood tendrils, Karla shielded her face, knocking the bullet away.  Suddenly, she felt a shock run through her body. Her chest clenched, forcing her to cough blood! Ryan grabbed by her arm and bulldozed through the crowd, flinging everyone away with his super strength. Robin laughed as she watched the two.
