Final Curtain

The Outskirts of Sky City....5:15 p.m.

Zen, Jackal, Phoenix, and Atlas walked in a barren wasteland near a canyon. The sun beat down on their foreheads, but they remained firm. Atlas and Phoenix wore their suits, along with their teammates. Jackal had an all-white, skin-tight jumpsuit with streaks of hazel brown running across its sides. She wore sizeable white combat boots, and her hair was wrapped into a small bun. Khan was with them, standing behind Phoenix in an old Project Renegade uniform. It fit her well; the blue and orange were complimenting her skin tone. Zen held a device in his hands, analyzing the area. Signs of Scorbis activity were all around. Finally, they passed a giant cave entrance, Atlas and Jackal, remembering that this was where Project Renegade fought the Scorbi.

" Okay, let's just kick some ass. " Atlas stabbed his scythe into the ground.

RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

" Uh..." Phoenix mumbled as the ground started to shake beneath them.

" Well, that's a new record Atlas. We've only been here for a minute and a half, and you've already pissed something off.  " Zen whispered while cracks appeared from the ground beneath.

Khan screamed as the adults drew their weapons. The earth shook and moved as if it were the waves of the ocean. A black dome started to rise from under Atlas' scythe, making him jump back. The Scorbis Queen emerged from the deepness of the earth, growling and baring its sharp teeth. Jackal let out her claws and squatted down like a tiger, ready to pounce. The ground cracked under The Queen's weight as it looked down on the group of humans.

" Ah.....I've been awakened. Who dares disturb my slumber? " The Queen asked, its voice shaking the area.

" Oh...my gosh. " Khan whispered.

" HEY!!! DOWN HERE!!!! " Atlas yelled, waving his hands.

" Hmm? " The Queen mumbled, squatting down to their level.

WHOOSH!

A gust of wind burst past them, sending the group flying into the air. Phoenix grabbed Khan as The Queen's enormous body finally reached the ground. Atlas groaned and coughed, dust and sand all in his face and mouth. He used his scythe to regain his footing as he stared up at The Queen's giant eyes.

" HEY, YOU! BIG OL' DUMMY! LISTEN! WE'RE GOING TO WRECK YOU AND SEND YOU BACK TO YOUR SPACE ROCK! " Atlas croaked as The Queen laughed.

" You can try. " The Queen muttered, its voice rattling Atlas' bones.

" WHOA! YOU ARE LOUD- " Atlas yelled before coughing, " Okay...all this shouting isn't good for my throat. "

" Giant girl. Do your thing. " Jackal commanded.

Khan stood there, unable to move. Her dark skin had turned pale as she struggled to try and comprehend The Queen's existence. The group sighed as Khan trembled, her teeth chattering loudly. 

" Great. " Phoenix sighed.

Phoenix wasted no time and zoomed after The Queen, kicking it in the chin. Zen placed out his arms as Jackal used them as a springboard. She flew in the air and slammed an ax kick on the brim of The Queen's nose. The alien chuckled and smacked Jackal into the ground. 

BOOM!

The Queen laughed as it tried to crush the hero. However, Jackal remained standing under its fist, using all of her strength to hold it above her! Annoyed, The Queen opened its fist and snatched Jackal up. The monster threw her into the air and caught her between its massive tail. The Queen ran off into the distance on all fours with swift movements, holding Jackal behind her. Clouds of dust filled with flying debris flew into Atlas and Zen's faces as they shield their bodies and eyes.  Phoenix moved Khan out of the way, carrying her a few meters from the battle.
