" This should work, the chemical properties in the bullets I've seen them before. " Sapphire sprayed Jennifer with an antidote, " Better? "

" Aw...that feels good! Thanks! "Jennifer's eyes lit up in flames. 

" Great! " Sapphire exclaimed, smiling brightly. 

" Hold on, aren't you mad at us? " Jennifer scratched her puff.

" You mean about the thing tonight? No, no, no. " Sapphire chuckled as Ryan entered the room. 

" Phew, I thought you would be upset-- " He began before Sapphire smacked her palm across the back of his head, "OW! Why did I get hit?!"

" BECAUSE I AM LIVID, Ryan Alexia Allister Alissa Richards!!! " Sapphire shouted as Angelina teleported next to her.

" Your middle names are Alexia, Allister, and Alissa? " Dante snickered, sitting on a table nearby.

" Ha, Ryan is a girl! " Ray laughed. 

" Everyone shut up! " Sapphire yelled, making the whole room go silent, " Ryan, Karla, and Jennifer! You three disobeyed my orders tonight and almost got killed! When I tell you something, I know what I'm saying. Let me get this straight. You guys aren't superheroes. You are trainees. These public personas you've adopted are cute, but I think you've forgotten that we work outside of the law. To make matters worse, you guys are BAD at your jobs! So you can't just be putting on costumes, taking pictures with fans and going to meet and greets, or going to conventions! "

" But Lady Sapphire, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we've made the people believe we're heroes and that's what we are! We have fans to please! " Ray turned to the other members of Project Renegade, " Right...? Right..? G-guys...answer me....please. "

" That is where you shut up. You shouldn't operate unless I send a crime alert to your communicators. Even if it's Phoenix, Zen, Atlas, Angelina, or Jackal giving you orders, you will do what we say. " Sapphire groaned, " Ryan. You should've prioritized leaving instead of fighting.  "

" Look...when you hear gunshots..it makes you know that something BAD is usually happening. I had to-  " Ryan sighed.

" The only thing you HAD to do is listen to my orders. You sit back and do NOTHING unless we tell you to. " Sapphire stepped in front of him. 

" Nothing? Doing nothing is what gets people killed. " Ryan closed his eyes, flashes of his mother's death hit him, " I..should know- Look. We made a difference. We killed Origin and saved the city, we know what we're doing!- "

" Ha! You have no clue about the more prominent threats behind the scenes. You're lucky I even let you guys design and wear those stupid costumes. I could've just made all of you wear the old team uniform, but no, I wanted to let you be creative. And it looks like you're abusing that privilege. It's because of your actions that the city needed MAJOR damage control, Ryan. " Sapphire growled, " Let's talk about the time Zoe froze an entire mall to catch one bad guy, huh? Or the time Nichole flooded out a whole damn street? You guys do more damage every time, and the next time you operate without our orders, you'll feel the consequences. "

" What's stopping us, though? We have our superpowers. You don't rule us. " Zoe argued as Ray grimaced.

" Uh...I wouldn't say that- " Nichole gulped. 

" She's right. If there's a problem, we can fight against it. " Michelle watched Sapphire scoff. 

" Do it. " Sapphire commanded as Angelina blasted the team with white light.
