Chapter 16: A letter

Chrys's Pov

I was glad Ivy let out some of her past to me. I understood that she started to trust me. I sighed going back through my memories. I felt arms around my waist. "What are you thinking about?" Asked Rose behind me. I leaned back against rose, "memories..."

She hums a bit, meaning she understood. She kissed the top of my head lightly. I smiled a bit and turned around in her arms to face her. I rested my head on her chest. I could hear her steady heart beat which made me relax.

"You okay now?" She asked me and I nodded. "Chief wanted to see us" she said to me. "Alright let go see her..." I said. We left a note for Ivy and Aster then left to the station. "Hey ladies, sorry to bother you but I thought you wanted to know about the ruth...and your father chrys...." chief said to me. I gripped Rose's hand tightly my eyes narrowed.

"Your father is still no where to be found....Ruth is somewhere here in lovebloom." She said to me. I growled in anger. Rose brought her arm around me to calm me. Which worked as I leaned against her. Rose looked at chief, "I'm not letting that maniac take Chrys away from me!"

Chief nodded, understanding rose. "I know, I don't want her to take Chrys either...." I stayed silent as the two talked about different things. Leandre pulled me away from the two to talk to me. "I know you hate to talk about this....but what did ruth do to you...? I don't think you told rose everything..." she said to me.

I sighed and looked at her, "She tortured me, raped me, and...did experiments on me..." she stared at me in surprise. "What...what kind?" She asked me. "To put it simply....she tried to see if she could create powers to put in me...and use a chemical to control me....though it didn't work..." I said to her and She nodded.

I sighed and went back over to Rose and Chief with Leandre. Rose and I went home. I checked the mail then went inside. I handed the letters to rose. All but one, a white envelope with the military symbol on it. It was addressed to me. Concern filled me and I opened it. My eyed widen and I dropped the letter.

Rose's Pov

"Chrys what's wrong?" I asked her. She didn't respond, I leaned down and grabbed the paper and read it.

'Dear Ms. Stargazer,

Due to your skills from lovebloom's incident with rose monsters and you showing your skills. We would like you to join the military.

You have to join, no isn't an option. I expect to see you here on the fourth.

General Jason.'

My eyes widened at that as I look at Chrys. Chrys was looking down. "But that's...tommorow" I said to her. "Just can't say no Rose....I have to go..." she said to me in a sad tone. I hugged her, "I know....it's okay..." She hugged me tightly crying. She didn't want to go but they were forcing her to.

'I'm going to miss her...'
