Chrys's Pov:
Chief gave us the day off today so I went to visit my cousin. Rose had to go see her mom so she'll be gone for a while, leaving me bored. I drove my car towards my cousin's mansion.
Once I got there I was greeted by Delphine saying, "Hello Ms. Chrys." "Hello delphine, is Canary up?" I asked, Delphine nodded and let me in. Canary came over an gave me a hug. "Hey Chryssie~! How are you?" She asked me.
"I'm doing good Canary, chief gave me the day off" I said. Canary seemed to notice rose was not here because she asked, "Where's the detective? I've never seen you without her or her without you"
"She's visiting her mom, she'll be back soon. I was hoping to spend time with ya" I said, Canary nodded. "Yeah, wanna go to the cafe?" She asked me. I nodded, "sure"
We both left to my car to go to the cafe. Delphine decided to walk to the cafe, knowing Canary will be safe with me. I drove off to the cafe and made it there before Delphine. Canary wanted to wait for her so we did.
Delphine arrived 5 minutes later. We went inside and ordered. Canary and I chatted a bit about different things. "Hey Canary, Romance cop" Said a voice we turned and saw the chief with leandre. The two started dating around 5 months ago.
"Hey chief" I greeted as the two walked over to us. "Just call me Heather romance cop. But chief on duty" Heather said to me. I nodded, "Come join us"
They sat down and we continued chatting. I was waiting for Rose to arrive. "I mean why use roses?" I heard Canary ask. I looked at them to see what they are talking about. Leandre seemed to be hurt slightly.
"Canary the rose incident is a touchy subject still" said Heather. 'Oh so they are talking about that...' I thought to myself. "Sorry I'm late" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned and saw rose walking over to us. I smiled, "It's okay detective, come sit with us."
Rose sat down next to me. We chatted some more about the plans we have for thanksgiving in a few weeks.
In an unknown Laboratory
A figure walked around the lab mixing ingredients together. "Soon I'll lure out the guardian, and her powers will be mine" the figure said laughing madly. She looked at a photo of a blue haired girl with pink eyes.
"Oh Blu, why did you leave?" The figure said sarcasticly speaking more, "You left and started a family...making a mudblood* child. No matter....after I contain the powers you child dies first." There figure smashes the photo to the ground and continued her work.
