"She's different."

"Whats wrong?"

"She's not responding to the tests correctly, in a good way"

I saw a little girl - black hair, brown eyes, small and petite hiding behind one of the worktables while 2 people in white lab coats spoke to each other. The little girl looked about 6. One was a teenage boy and the other was a slightly older teenage girl. I guessed the little girl was me. She was quiet, not making a sound, just listening to the conversation about what I guessed was about me. The 3 of us were in a room, surrounding by computers bleeping and overall had a sterile feel to it.

"So?" The girl asked.

"Her brother is already in the maze. Her brain patterns are different from anyone else and she may be more important than what we thought. She keeps fighting it, refusing the tests but she's not giving up her resistance. We need that type of perseverance, and stop Paige from what she is doing," the teenage boy spoke. That seemed to catch the girl's interest.

"What do you think we should do?" the girl asked curiously.

The boy was about to speak until 3 men in black gear barged in, with an older lady following behind. The girl and boy looked at her in shock, fear evident.

"Enough about all of this. I've heard what Thomas has said. Teresa, you should have known better. I had higher expectations. For now, we keep the girl here. We run more tests for her. We need more results. Put her through more challenges, even if it involves harming her. I will involve Janson if I have to. Plans about the girl going up to the maze are down the drain. We continue," The older woman spoke, with authority in her voice.

"Mrs Paige, she is at her breaking point. You've seen what has happened to her under all of our tests. She's bruised, battered and exhausted yet you still want to continue? You're sick. We have to stop this," the teenage boy spoke firmly and spat out the sick comment. I could tell that both parties weren't fond of each other. The woman stepped forward, frustration and annoyance etched. Thomas didn't back down.

"I. Don't. Care. Thomas. We NEED these results, Thomas," the women spoke again.

"We need the cure," she whispered at the end.

They continued arguing, while little me hid behind one of the tables.

"Where is she? You were meant to bring her here," Teresa asked worriedly.

"Thats why I came here in the first place. I couldn't find her and I want you to hunt for the girl. She's a sneaky one and if I can't get my hands on her, Janson will and you know how he is when he can't get what he wants," the lady smirked. Thomas and Teresa started to whisper quietly, confusion etched on their faces.

"THERE!" I heard a guard shout, pointing to me. 2 guards held me up and I started to thrash wildly. The memory started to rapidly fade and I could only remember the terrible pain I felt from my shoulder before letting out an ear-piercing scream.

"JADE!"

I was being shook and my name was being yelled.

I opened my eyes and found a worried looking Newt, Minho and Med-Jacks peering over me. Newt had his hands gripping tightly on my shoulders while Minho was holding down my legs. Clint and Jeff (AN: Im gonna call the other asshole who harassed Jade earlier Jeffrey) were looking at me worriedly, with a syringe of clear liquid in it in Jeff's hands.

I tried to sit up but couldn't. Newt wouldn't let me go.

"Jade, you woke up the entire bloody glade. Why were you screaming? What happened? Who hurt you?" Newt asked, question after question pouring out of his mouth non-stop. I had a headache coming along and groaned.
