My Hero Limps [Newt love story]

Jade's POV:

"Please Alby!" I said, following him around. He huffed and turned to look at me. 

"Fine. The Gladers get a day off tomorrow," he sighed. I whooped and walked towards the Box. 

I took out a piece of paper and a pen and started to write down the materials for tomorrow. I dropped the piece of paper into the box and went to get dinner at the dinner shack. 

"Hey Fry," I smiled, as he handed me my plate of food.

"Hey. I saw you bugging Alby just now and that shank looked really annoyed. What did you do?" Frypan asked, sighing but smiling at the end.

"Oh, you'll find out," I winked. Frypan just laughed and asked me to get lost before dishing out the next meal for the next Glader.

I walked with my food around until I saw Chuck sitting by himself at an empty table. I smiled widely and bounded over to him before setting my butt on the bench opposite him. Chuck looked startled but then smiled when he saw that it was me.

"Hey," he laughed,  before shoving a spoon full of beans into his mouth. I crinkled my nose in disgust. Both of us ate in comfortable silence. We were soon joined by Newt and Minho. We had formed our own little group over the past few weeks of me being here and we were close than ever. Newt and Minho both regarded Chuck as their little brother and they would joke around a lot more often. 

As the day got darker and darker, I started to fidget a lot. It was closer and closer to what I had planned the next day and I got more and more excited. 

"What's got into your pants, shuck-face?" Minho asked, noticing my movements. I gave him a toothy grin.

"Hmm, nothing," I smiled, before getting up and returning my plate to one of the Cooks.

I laid in my bed and stared at the ceiling. I was determined to put a smile on all the Glader's faces. I closed my eyes for a minute before suddenly jolting awake when I felt something touch my feet. I started to kick and was about to scream when a hand covered my mouth. I looked up to see Newt's face in front of mine. He smiled and I threw him a mean glance.

He pulled my blanket and got under the sheets with me. He turned to his side and I faced him.

"You almost scared me idiot," I smacked his arm playfully. He just extended his arms and I scooted closer to him. By back was touching his chest as we cuddled. I felt my eyes go droopy as I started to doze off in the embrace of Newt.

"I love you," was the last thing I heard before falling asleep.

- Next Morning -

"She's not waking up!" 

"Shake her harder."

"Ive tried that!" 

"Look at how cute they are".

"What if I dump a cup of water on her?" 

There was a period of silence.

"Winston no!" I heard a few boys shout. Before I could register what was happening, I felt ice cold water being poured on my head.

 I opened my eyes and saw Winston, Jack and Minho laughing. I sat up and felt something cold slide down my back. I jumped out of and squealed. I whipped my head around and saw Chuck laughing. He put ice cubes down my shirt. That little shit.

"Get out before I hunt you!" I snarled. No one wakes me up when I'm sleeping. The 4 boys ran out of my room. I put on my shoes and was about to chase after them before I felt a hand gently tug the sleeve of my shirt. I turned around and saw Newt smiling a small smile. I sat back down and faced him.
