Jade POV:

2 more weeks had passed and the new greenie was arriving any day now, tomorrow, actually. I was working with Clint as he taught me how to stitch a wound when a low sounding alarm rang through the glade. I stood up from my chair and walked to the window and looked out. Only a few gladers walked to the box while the rest continued working.

"Its the supplies alarm," Clint said, not looking up from threading a needle for me to practice.

"Every 3 weeks they send up supplies, then every month, a new greenie comes up," Clint explained.

"They?" I asked.

"We call them the creators. They sent us up here, we don't know what though. They also send up supplies. If you need/want something that isn't there, you can drop a note into the box," Clint  said. I sat down and thought about how we could use that as an advantage.

"I see your wheels turning in there and I have a feeling it isn't a good one," Clint teased. Clint and I had become really great friends over the past few weeks and we would usually tease or insult each other most of the time. Me working as a Med-Jack increased the time I spent with Clint and now, we were like brother and sister. He also knew that it was common for me to suggest ideas that would probably cause annoyance. He barely stopped me from scaring Dan as he was exiting the bathroom. I had also barely made it past alive when Gally chased me for rocking the bathrooms while he was in it. I had made a title for myself in the Glade, and I proudly carried 'the Troublemaker' title around with me.

I once kicked a Track-Hoe in his butt, literally, while he was bending over. Thank God Dennis was a nice Track-Hoe. We made small talk before Zart chased me away with his shovel. Newt stood by the side, laughing as I very gracefully tripped over a weed and face planted. I snapped out of my trouble-making ideas and turned to Clint.

"Have you ever asked for like a map? Or a GPS?" I asked.

"Yep. They didn't give us any of that. They don't always give you what you request for, shank. Requested for a TV once, that didn't work out," Clint said, slightly frowning at my ideas. I guess the Creators liked giving us a hard time.

"Well, Im going to look at the box to see how the process is," I said, walking backwards towards the door.

"Sure, shank," Clint laughed, as I bumped my hip on the corner of the table. I gave a goofy smile and jogged out of the Homestead. I passed a few gladers and gave them a wave, some smiling at me while others waved back. They have all taken a liking after my stunt I pulled on Gally. I stopped by the box and I saw Winston climb up, before pulling a rope. I ran to his side and helped him pull the rope, which I saw was attached to the top of a crate.  After helping him, I jumped down the box and looked around. I was exactly like how I remembered. Fenced walls and some of the sides covered with grease or oil. I looked around before I was being joined shortly by Noot (Its my nickname for him got a problem).

"Oh Jade, it looks like you've got something," Newt said, as he walked towards a translucent plastic bag. I saw the paper box inside and I almost had a heart-attack. Blush rose to my face.

Could they at least put those in a separate NON-SEE THROUGH bag?!?!

Hey, at least they had the decency to send up period supplies.

"No!" I yelled, as I made a dive for the supplies. I stuffed the pads and tampons under my shirt and covered my front with the cadigen I was wearing. Newt just looked at me questioningly. I probably looked like I was pregnant with a big, deformed and box-shaped baby.

"What are you hiding?" he asked seriously. I admit, it was kind of a turn on (shhHHHH).

"Um, nothing, why?" I replied quickly. I willed the pink tinge on my cheeks to go away. He looked at me disbelievingly. I could tell that he was bursting with questions.
