David POV

"I don't care Selene," I said angrily as we went over plans. "She wants to stay here. I refuse to go against her wishes."

She said, "David. They know where we live. They will come for her. I can't lose her, that's my daughter."

"And that's my mate, my everything."

Eve POV

I was walking around the forest with my father. My mind has been thinking about the covens and I've been on alert more than usual.

"Eve," my dad held me, "I know what you're feeling and we would never let anything happen to you."

"Don't you get it?" I pulled away, "I'm doomed. I've been from the start. No matter how human I try to act. No matter how safe I want to be. They will always be after me. They want me dead and they want my blood."

I teared up, I just couldn't handle the stress anymore. I know I'm a hybrid, but I'm only 16 for crying out loud.

My dad held me as I cried. I hated crying, it made me feel vulnerable. I hated how my eyes got all puffy and red. He said soothing words to me as I cried.

David and my mom appeared as soon as I my dad let go. David's eyes held pain and I felt bad for causing it. I know he feels bad because I'm crying.

Its a mate thing.

My dad explained what happened and my mom said, "There's a coven that could help us." We looked at her and she said, "They're a peaceful coven, but they do practice war methods and fighting."

"They'll help us protect her?" David asked, a bit hesitant but hopeful. My mom nodded, "They owe me a huge favor anyways."

We walked back to the house and David said, "How about we go do something? Blend in?" I smiled at the thought of doing something to get my mind off of all this.

My dad said, "How about Disneyland? Its a theme park I used to go to as a kid. I always wanted to take my kids there."

We all agreed and I went upstairs to go get dressed for Disneyland. I got changed into a red crop top and some black button up shorts that had gold buttons. I grabbed my black and white polka dot bow and place my hair up in a high ponytail.

I threw on some clear lip gloss and was set to go. I threw on my black vans and grabbed my purse. Grabbing some stack of money from the cupboard in my closet.

I grabbed about 1,000 and felt that was good enough. I heard it was pretty expensive there. I walked downstairs and my mom looked like a normal mom. She wasn't in her black latex.

She wore a pair of red skinny jeans, a black tank top, and some black heels with a white bow on the side. I smiled and we all grabbed our black leather jackets for the nighttime.

I was pretty excited, I never been to a theme park before. We got to the parking structure after an hour drive from the house. We found a parking space and we made our way to the trams, which would take us to the gates off Disney.

I held David's hand excitedly as I played with his fingers. He kissed my forehead every now and then. We got off and I sat down at a fountain as my parents went to buy the tickets.

I heard a camera snap and looked up to see David smirking. His phone in his hand. I glared playfully and said in my English accent, "I'll get you."

He snapped a few more and asked for a picture of us. A woman took it for us as he placed me on his back and I smiled into the picture. It was cute photo and we thanked her.

Mom demanded we take on with her and dad. Then it was one of me and my parents. We got to the gates and handed our ticket to the worker.

We walked in and I gasped at the pretty flowers in the shape of a mickey mouse face. We tools pictures in front of it and we went on every single ride.

My favorite was definitely Space Mountain. My second was The Haunted Mansion.

We got food and decided to head over to California Adventures. It was a second theme park across from the Disneyland gates.

We handed over our tickets and went on more rides. My mother really enjoyed the Grizzly Rapids and had my father go on with her again.

David and I took off towards the huge rollercoaster and we wanted to go in the swinging Ferris wheel.

We got on and I leaned my head on his shoulder. "Thank you."

"For what?" He smiled at me. I looked into his brown eyes and said, "For accepting me for what I am. Loving me and showing me new things. I love you."

He placed his hand on the back of my neck and our lips met. It was a long and slow kiss, but it meant something so much more. We got off and met my parents in the Hollywood Tower of Terror line.

"Hey," a girl walked up to David, "You single?" She winked and touched his arm. I hissed lowly and glared at her.

"Eve," my mom said warningly but I didn't care. I walked up to the girl and said, "Get your hands OFF of my boyfriend." She scoffed and said, "Oh honey please. You wish you had this figure."

She pointed to her body and I said in a fake voice, "oh honey please. You wish you were STD free like this." I pointed to myself and she gasped offended.

"Now get away from him," I glared at her and she ran off to her other friends. Ha! Thinking she could have my mate. No honey no.

David kissed me and said, "You reacted nicer than me. I was going to break her hand." I giggled because I knew he would've.

We held hands and enjoyed the rest of time there. One thing was certain, I am definitely coming back here. It is a happy place.
