Eve POV

"Is that..A PUPPY?!" I squealed as I ran over to my dad, looking at the cute little grey and black Husky.

"I found him in the woods alone so I thought maybe you'd like a dog," dad said, handing me the husky.

I squealed and hugged my dad. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Mom smiled and asked, "What are you going to name him?"

I thought for a moment and then smiled, "Gremlin." David laughed and said, "Like the movie we just watched?!"

I nodded and stared at my adorable new baby. "Do you like your name Gremlin," I cooed at him and he licked my face happily.

I decided to go to our room and make a new spot for our puppy. Mom and Dad went out to run for a bit so David and I took Gremlin to go buy him a bed and necessities.

"He's so fluffy!" I squealed, hugging him to me as David drove us to the nearest pet store. "He's cute babe."

I smiled and carried him inside as we parked the car. We got him a leash, collar, bed, dog food, bowls for food and water.

After that, we put on his new leash and took him to the park to have some fun. Let me tell you, that fur ball has ENERGY.

We took him home and set up his dog bed in the corner of the room. I didn't need to worry about having a gate, since my parents never sleep.

I poured him food while David got him some water and Gremlin happily ate and laid down on his new bed.

I was petting his fur while he fell asleep, safe and comfortable. I laid on my bed and David came under the covers, pulling me to him.

"We should be safe for a few years. No one expects vampires to go to states, let alone sunny ones," he said as he turned on the TV.

I nodded, looking over at Gremlin, "I'm glad. We're all safe then..for now. It sucks you know, I never had a mortal life. I was born a hybrid. All girls make me jealous sometimes."

David kissed my forehead, "They wished they could do what you do, Eve. You're unique, I love that about you." I smiled big and hugged him.

I laid down and fell asleep in his arms. Sometime during the night, I woke up to Gremlin's cries.

I blurred to him, not wanting to wake up David, and picked up Grem. He probably needed to use the bathroom so I threw on a jacket, taking him outside to the woods.

I let him go do his business and listened closely to make sure I knew where he was. "Gremlin," I called out loudly.

A few seconds later, my baby ran back to me happily. I smiled and picked him up, flying up to my balcony so it would be faster.

I put Gremlin back on the bed and saw it was 5:45am. There was no point of going back to bed now, so I took off my jacket and walked downstairs to work out for a bit.

After an hour, I ran upstairs to shower since I was all sweaty and gross from the workout. I changed into a black tank top, some high waisted skinny jeans, and my black Bat Royalty boot heels.

I smiled at the cute bat wings on the side of the boots and threw on my black leather jacket. I curled my hair and put on some black smokey eye make up.

I added some blood red lip stick and was good to go. I walked inside the room and David was already dressed, in all black.

I tossed him his leather jacket and he threw it on. We made sure Gremlin would be okay and once he was, we walked downstairs.

I grabbed a strawberry pop tart and hopped in his car. We got to school and some girls smiled at David, causing me to glare at them.

We went to class and Jerry walked in, with his arm around a pretty brunette. She was smiling and laughing, you could tell they were together.

She sat next to him and turned around, "Hi I wasn't here yesterday. My boyfriend told me you guys were new. I'm Ash."

She was super pretty and kind. I could see why Jerry likes her. We chatted and David talked to Jerry more openly than yesterday.

I guess now that he knows he's taken, he's okay with him. I don't understand guys sometimes. Then again, I grew up as a science experiment.

The bell rang and Ash gave me her number. David left early to get something from his other class. I kissed him and walked down the hall.

I saw Ash, in a cheer uniform, leaning against a locker, talking with this cheerleader girl.

"Wow you change quick," I laughed, walking up to her. She raised an eyebrow, "Excuse me? Fuck off."

My eyes widened, but an arm went around my shoulder. "Leave her alone Becca, she doesn't know I'm a twin."

"Yeah well teach her next time. Come on Taylor," she rolled her eyes and left rudely with her friend. I looked down, "I'm sorry. I didnt-"

"You didn't do anything. I promise. Just Rebecca is..a bitch," she laughed and I smiled back.

We walked to class after that. After a few more, lunch came and Ash came to our table with Jerry following.

"Hellloo," she dragged out and I ate my pizza after I said hi. I noticed Jerry and David were getting along better, but what shocked me is that David was thinking about joining basketball.

"Please tell me you don't do sports," Ash pleaded and I laughed.

"The only sport I do is bench sitting. Its very competitive," I joked and she laughed, causing me to join in soon after.

I guess high school isn't so bad.
