Eve POV
I sat down on the roof of the Nordic castle as my mother and father went to go tell the leader we're leaving. We know the war is still going on, but we can't handle this place anymore.
I looked down about 150 ft and smiled at how high up I was. Many would freak out and cry their eyes out for help, but I loved heights. I looked at the colorful sky as I saw my family walking out of the castle, looking up at me.
"Eve. We're going," Dad said as he jumped off the ledge. I smiled, I was finally leaving this place. I jumped off the castle and walked over to the ledge where David was waiting for me.
He held out his hand and I placed mine in its rightful spot. We jumped off and landed gracefully, before taking off in a sprint to the city where the only airport was. After a good hour of running, we made it to the airport.
We were seated in first class, but I was exhausted from the running. I laid down on David's shoulder as I felt the plane getting ready to take off. I woke up when I heard some giggling.
"Your little sister is soooooo cute," another giggle followed and I was instantly annoyed at the sound. I could feel David's chest vibrate as a growl ripped through him.
"How many times do I have to repeat myself. She is my GIRLFRIEND. Another repeat, I'm not INTERESTED."
Oh. So this bitch thought she could flirt with David when I was sleeping? Well rise and shine BITCH, I'm wide awake now.
I opened my eyes and turned to her. She was beautiful, I'll give her that. But I know she was a rock compared to a diamond like me in David's eyes. I smirked, "Nice knock off perfume, which corner store did you get it at?"
She gasped offended, "This is from Macy's, it hella ain't knock off. Why don't you go back to bed, little girl, this hunk of a man and I were having a nice chat."
"One, I am NOT a little girl. Two, that's MY boyfriend. Three, don't think for a second I wouldn't throw your ass off this plane," I smiled, cuddling closer to my mate. I felt him kiss my forehead and I felt myself relax more.
"I'd sue you if you did," she smirked.
"Can't sue someone when you're dead." Her smirk instantly dropped.
"Is everything alright here?" My mother asked, leaning over to intimidate the little human.
She smiled smugly at me, before turning to my mom as if she were afraid and said, "This little girl here is being rude. Can you please take her out of first class?"
David and I held back our laughs. This chick thought my mom was a flight attendant. My mom glared at her, "Why would I take my daughter out of first class?"
The color drained from the girl's face, "T-This is your k-kid?" Mom nodded, smirking at her stuttering. The girl ran to the restroom and mom handed me a soda and chips since I was now awake.
David grabbed some of my chips and turned on the seat TV, "You want a movie babe?"
"How many more hours until we get home?"
"About 8."
"Hell yeah then," I reclined our chairs as I got comfortable. David wrapped an arm around my shoulder as I chose the Freddy vs Jason movie.
We pretended not to notice the girl coming back and she pretended to be busy on her laptop so we didn't give a crap.
"Babe?"
"Yeah Eve?" He looked down at me.
"Kiss my forehead," I smiled innocently at him. He chuckled and kissed my forehead, letting his lips stay there a bit longer. I forced David to sleep, knowing he hadn't slept in a few days. He didn't need to, but I still liked the thought of him having some sleep.
Soon we landed in Florida and I groaned. "Mom out of all places! The most humid one?!" She rolled her eyes, probably thinking I was dramatic but I already knew she would give a sarcastic reply.
"Really? Didn't know that about Florida."
See..that's my mother for you. David held my hand as made our way off the plane, people staring at us as we all were well covered in the hot air. My mother never took off her trench coat and my father, he never had his jacket off.
We went to a hotel and my parents left David and I to the task of getting cars while they went to find a house. We got off the taxi and went inside to the BMW dealership. We went out to the yard and I immediately fell in love with this black BMW M8. David had his eyes set on a dark gray i8 and soon a guy in a suit came out, judgement clearly in his eyes.
He smirked, "looking at your dream car children?" I looked over at David, sure he looks 19, but he looked way more mature than this ugly man child. "Actually we were looking to buy one."
"The M8 is 134,000 dollars," he laughed and I narrowed my eyes slightly, "forgive me, miss, but not even I could afford that."
"Well then it's a good thing I can." I smirked at him, "Cash or card." He gulped and looked at David to see if I was serious, David still had his poker face but I could amusement in them. I opened my purse and grabbed my stacks of 100 bills. I grabbed my packs of 50,000 and held them up to him.
"T-This way for the paperwork," he shyly pointed to the office. He took the money and after signing a few paperwork, he handed me my title and keys. I smirked and watched as his face dropped in more shock as David bought the i8 coupe.
"Oh and I'd like to purchase two more for my parents." He could have fainted on the spot as I named the model my parents texted me that they wanted. After using the card we were told to come pick the cars up later today.
David and I had fun racing to the hotel in our new cars. I smiled at the valets shocked faces and handed him a 50$ bill. We held hands as we went back to the room and threw my parents the keys.
They left to get it and that's when David tackles me on the bed. "Finally alone." He smiled as he slammed his lips to mine, leaving us to enjoy the activities before they came back. My mother had found a secluded house that had practically no neighbors within a mile.
We figured it would be better just to get a large home due to the fact we never know when we would get unwanted visitors. Florida was the sunshine state, all vampires wouldn't think of coming here if they wanted to be burned alive.
The next week was uneventful honestly, we weren't forced to go to school. We had made up a rumor that we were already graduated and basically my parents "worked" from home. Dad was still nervous that the lycans were after our blood, that one attack from them being captured led him to believe there was much bigger plans.
"I'm not going to worry about it anymore." I said to him over dinner, "we all have each other to protect. I wouldn't let them take your blood and I know you wouldn't let them take mine."
"If it's a war they want to start for it, then the lycans can have fun finding us. We aren't in Europe anymore. Lycans are rare as it is and unless there's a group of them hiding in the United States, we should be fine." My mother was always the voice of reason, hopefully my dad would be satisfied with that.
I was tired of running. David and I wanted to be able to do normal things, even if we are very much far from normal, what kind of relationship was always on the run together? We would never be safe and that's not a life I wanted.
I had a family and a beautiful mate who loved me, I wasn't going to let that go without a fight. If they want my blood, they would have to kill me for it, but until then... I'm going to focus on having a better relationship with my partner and parents.
