Eve POV

Days passed and we once again, finished shopping, I ran the bags in, but noticed the door in my room was open. My ears tingled and I heard an arrow flying towards me.

I caught it and phased, looking up to see no one. "You're gonna have to do a lot harder to take down a hybrid," I hissed with venom.

Just then, I was pinned against the wall, "We didn't want to take you down darling." I let out a breathe of relief and she chuckled, hugging me to her.

I phased back and she said, "There is someone downstairs who would like to meet you." I raised an eyebrow, but then I remembered she found my father.

I blurred past her and was downstairs within a second. A man was sitting down on the couch, smiling at me.

I felt my eyes water. This is the day I've been waiting for since I found out my parents were alive. I could feel my father, but I never got to see him..or meet him.

"Hello Eve," my father said and I couldn't help it, I ran to him, engulfing him in a hug. He held me to him and he breathed in my scent.

I never had a father, but being in his arms made me feel so happy. I sobbed of happiness in his arms and I could hear him sniffle a bit. He pulled away and cradled my face, "You're so big and beautiful. My daughter."

I smiled through tears and he thumbed them away. We heard a click and I looked up to see mom holding a camera, huge smiles on her and David's face.

"Daddy this is my mate, David." I said, standing up to stand by David's side. David and my father talked like great friends and mother and I made dinner, watching our men with smiles.

We finished the pasta and I placed in the bread sticks. "What's an elder?" I asked mom, pure curiosity of course.

She looked a bit taken back. "They're like royalty to our kind. First ever vampires." I nodded, processing it through my mind.

"How come they claim me a freak then?" I asked and everyone looked at me with sadness. Did I ask something bad? It's true, all the immortals think I'm a freak.

Dad stood up, "Princess..I am a hybrid, because I was turned. YOU are a natural born hybrid, the first ever. You are not a freak, just unique."

I smiled at that. They were jealous of me. I ate happily and helped my dad wash the dishes. I was happy I could finally use that word.. Dad.

He threw me over his shoulder out of no where, "Rawr! I'm going to eat you!" I laughed so loud and decided to play along.

"No! Don't eat me! Ahhh mommy help!" I yelled jokingly, us laughing for fun. My mom ran up to us, playing along.

"Michael don't! That is our daughter!" She said, laughing a bit while David video taped us.

"Oh this is our daughter? Then I shall not eat her," he said, setting me down. I laughed and growled like a lion at my dad, to show for fun.

He phased and growled back. I noticed his eyes were full black, whereas mine were black with blue, a mixture.

He crouched playfully and I did the same, hissing as he copied. I smiled and phased back, hugging my daddy. He kissed my forehead and said, "Time for bed little one."

David smiled and left to go to the hospital to get more blood supplies. I gave him a kiss and watched as he drove off.

My dad picked me up and cradled me to him, walking up to my room. He tucked me in and kissed my head, "I promise to make up for the time we've lost. I love you Eve, sweet dreams."

He kissed my head and before he closed the door, I said "I love you too daddy." I felt his joy and elation and that brought a smile to my face.

I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I was swimming by myself in a lake. It was cold out, but it didn't bother me. Just then, I was being dragged down by my foot. I screamed and struggled for air.

I kicked and kicked and finally got free. I ran out of the water, running from whatever was after me. "DAVID! Daddy! Mommy!" I screamed loudly as I ran towards the house.

Then Dr. Jacob Lane showed up. I shivered from fear. He used me as an experiment my whole life, torturing me every time. "You got away once. Let's not make the same mistake."

I screamed bloody murder as he stabbed my heart with a silver blade.

"Eve! Eve!" I felt myself jump awake in fear, not noticing the tears in my eyes. "Princess it was just a dream, you're safe."

I held onto my dad as if he were a lifeline. I hadn't had a nightmare since I escaped Antigen.

He rubbed my back and I couldn't stop my sobs. "She needs David," I heard my dad say to my mom.

What if they came for me again? Would I be tortured? Would they kill me or use my blood? I could not stop the tears, that was for sure.

I was scared.

About twenty minutes later, I smelt David near by. I wanted nothing more than to be in his arms. He was in the doorway within a second, "Baby?! Are you okay?"

He held me to him and my dad kissed my forehead, leaving with my mother. "I-It was horrible. The p-pain felt real!" I sobbd into his arms.

"Shh shh Eve, they can't touch you. I won't let them," he vowed and laid with me. Just his scent alone calmed me and I fell back to sleep, holding David to me and never letting go.
