David POV

I smiled, watching Eve sleep peacefully next to me. I know she didn't like Lena. That was VERY obvious.

Truth be told, I did NOT like how Seth was flirting with my mate. I know he was, my queen is just to sweet to notice.

There was a knock on the door and I covered Eve's naked body with the blanket. I threw on basketball shorts and a tee shirt, before opening the door.

Lena.

Yay..

I forced a smile, "What do I owe the pleasure?" She giggled and winked.

"You owe me a trip to the ice cream parlor downstairs," she said and I thought of how my mate would feel. If she went with someone, I would be a bit upset.

I declined, "Sorry-"

"Actually!" Eve said from next to me in the blanket. She smirked at Lena's face, "We would LOVE to get some ice cream! We'll meet you there, bye Lilly."

She closed the door and smiled sweetly at me. I wasn't buying it. I chuckled and said, "Babe you want ice cream?"

She nodded excitedly. I couldn't and wouldn't deny her anything. I made a motion for her to get ready and I did the same.

Eve POV

I didn't know they had a ice cream parlor here! I ran to the shower and got ready. I dressed into a white lace crop top, a mint colored high waisted skirt. And some white wedges.

I curled my long black hair and placed a mint bow to hold half of it up. I walked out and saw David in all black, but his leather jacket was so hot on him.

He wrapped an arm around me and we walked downstairs to the ice cream parlor. We saw Lena waiting at a table with only one seat left.

I sat on David's lap, knocking the smirk right off her face. I saw my parents and waved for them. Dad came running and kissed my forehead.

"Hello princess. David. Lena," he said the last part with a hint of a growl. I leaned into David and felt the familiar tingly feeling.

Mom smiled and said, "Don't forget David, we still have to train the others. Even you Eve."

I groaned in annoyance, "I can take down any of these vampires. I'm a hyrid for gods sake." Lena spoke up, "Doesn't mean a thing. I'm faster and older."

I glared at her, "Okay listen you-"

"Eh! Eve!" Mom hissed and I narrowed my eyes harder at Lena. I stood up and stomped to the line before I ended up slapping the smirk off her chapped face.

I heard someone call my name and I turned to see Seth walking over to me. I smiled and waved to him.

"You look beautiful today."

I smiled, "Thanks! Nice jacket." He smiled and asked, "So how you liking Nordic?"

I shrugged and said, "So far its been okay. I miss California a lot though, I had friends there." I got sad when I though about Ash and Jerry.

He rubbed my arm in hopes to comfort me. "Its fine, we can be friends?" He asked and I nodded.

It'd be nice to have a friend here. Don't get me wrong, all I'll ever need is David, but I also wanted friends.

But if it ever came down to it, David will ALWAYS be my main priority. It's just a mate bond, but I love him with everything I am.

I turned to ask David what he wanted, but he was laughing with Lena like she was amazing. I didn't know whether to cry or rip her heart out at that.

"One dipped cone." I paid and took my ice cream. They were still laughing so I rolled my eyes, "Want to go somewhere?"

Seth and I decided to go to the Coven bowling alley. "Okay this place..is AWESOME!" I said as I looked around the bowling center.

This castle has everything.

"What'd you expect? Dungeons, moats, and vampires?" He teased and I laughed.

"Yeah actually! We are vampires by the way."

"Not you. You're unique. Can I see your hybrid eyes?" He asked and I nodded. I phased and he looked in awe.

I smiled, but got a bit uncomfortable when he was staring too long. I phased back and smiled at him. I felt my phone buzz.

David❤: Where are you?!

I rolled my eyes. Now he notices I'm gone? What was he having too much fun with Albino barbie? I ignored the text and we started a game of bowling.

Two hours later, we got food and I was having fun with Seth. He was nice, but he told me how he was changed.

"I was a servant to King Henry the 3rd. Life was horrible, but one day I heard he wanted me dead. So I did the one thing I could, I ran. When I stopped, I was in an abandoned cemetery. I felt like I was okay, until the Nordic Coven came. They turned me but instead of me being angry, I was thankful. I found out a year later, the King held a public execution for my ENTIRE family. Even my child and wife."

I teared up, the poor thing had to watch his family die. Just because he ran from the King. I engulfed him in my arms, "I am so so sorry, Seth."

"You remind me of my wife," he said sadly. "Her hair and eyes were the same. But you two are so different. I know you belong to David though."

I didn't know what to say. It was the truth and I had no feelings for Seth, that way. Merely brother and sister, in just these two days.

He stood up and smiled, "Let's get you to your room." I nodded and we left to the rooms. I saw Lena practicing with my mother and I stopped, interested.

I'll admit, Lena was VERY fast but I knew it wasn't just from the transformation. Seth bid his farewell and I walked into the practice room.

Before I could step into the room, I was pinned against the wall by a random vampire.

"You're the reason why there's a war!" He hissed at me and I shook with fear. I phased and knocked him down. He pounced on me and I punched him in the face.

"GET OFF OF MY GIRLFRIEND," David yelled as him and my dad walked in from the sudden commotion. Mom was trying to finish her practice but Lena wouldn't let her.

David ran at the man and gripped his throat. Dad helped me up and another man walked forward. Everyone bowed and I guessed it was the Coven Leader.

"I am Demetri. The coven ruler. Varga, you should NOT have attacked our guest," Demetri hissed in anger.

David glared at Varga, dropping him to floor. He walked over to me and held me protectively.

"You could've at least told me the hybrid was with child."
