I thought I would take this opportunity to share a little behind the scene action for Void.  Maybe you'll find it interesting, maybe not.  I'm also going to throw in a little quiz I made.  So here it goes,

.) Danny was supposed to be in a love triangle with Jaxon and Josh.

.) Chase wasn't thought of until  two chapters before I wrote him in.  He was a very big help to the plot though.  I was going to just have Claire pull away because Danny was a crappy friend when she was a void (totally not her fault.)

.)  I got the idea for Void in the bathroom while I was putting on eyeliner.  I was thinking about how eyes gave away emotions and the idea just developed from there, which is why the cover for Void and Human are both eyes.

.) Leon's name came from my computer.  There's a little sticker up here that say's "Li-ion" and it reminds me of Lion so when I was coming up with names, Lion... Leon.  (P.S. I know Li-ion means Lithium Ion Battery)

.) I almost didn't write this because I felt like it wasn't going to be read because the main character doesn't feel.  That's why I created the pill, so Danny wouldn't be this dry character.

.) I almost changed Jaxon's name to Austin because I kept typing Jacon and it really annoyed me and I considered the name Austin for him in the beginning but decided Jaxon suited his personality better.

.) Danny got her name from me.  My middle name is Ann so, Ann... Dan... Danny.  Ta-da!

.) Rebecca is modeled after a real person named Rebekah, personality, appearance, everything.  (hate you.)  If Claire and Danny were combined into one person, that would be me.  I gave Claire my more enthusiastic side, while Danny got my cut off from people awkward side.

.) Inspiration for this story came from a story up here called, His to Keep (by...Lydia?) and also The Host is what made me want to do a Sci Fi.

.)  I went back and added chapter 6 because the Danny/Jaxon relationship was really bothering me and I felt like that chapter really helped.

.) I, no joke, had around ten dreams about this book before I started writing it.  I was about to go insane from not writing it down.

.) It only took me 5 months to write this.  My mind was blown with the rate that this was "completed".

.) I wrote full out bio's on each character, including their age, personality, and favorite colors and foods.  (Claire- fruits, Danny- yellow.  See how I kinda snuck those in?)

.)  I've never read The Scarlet Letter. o.O

.)  I have read Hamlet and I was DYING to sneak a little of that in this story.  Hence the quote in chapter 18.

.)  I had to listen to music for every chapter I wrote.  I would go completely blank if there wasn't any music.  The Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack was a lifesaver for so many chapters.

.)  Void was almost called Numb or Empty.  I debated with myself for the longest time between Void and Numb.  I also considered Void in French (Vide) and then Numb in French (Engourdi) but both just didn't seem to fit.

.)  Human was almost called Alive.  Then I, again, turned to the French language and came up with Vivant (Alive) and I actually really liked that but decided I couldn't have one English title and then a French title.

.)  The hardest part about writing this was distinguishing when Danny was a void and when she was human.  I just tried to be really relaxed when she was a void.

.)  I don't know if Void should be capitalized, like "Danny is a Void."  I don't think so because I don't say, "Jaxon is a Human."  I don't know, you decide.
