Oh my gosh! Did I really just say that. It slipped, I think, I hope, possibility. Is it true ? Of course it is. After everything we've been through, it's impossible not to love her. I'm just shocked I said it, and to make things worse , she's not saying anything at all. "Sabrina say something, anything" I waited for her response but she was silent" "Sabrina" I said touching her cheek still holding Christian in my other arm. "August give me my baby" I was so shocked, I let her take him. She started putting him back in his carseat and then walked over to the driver side while I just stared. What is going on. "I'll call you tomorrow after I set up arrangements for the DNA testing." she said. "Sabrina don't do this" "It's already done" She wiped a stray tear and got in her car and drove off. She drove off with my family, my heart, my everything.
Next Day
Sabrina
I sat on my bed in the hotel room feeding a crying Christian. He hasn't stopped since we got here last night.He felt a little warm last night but today he's hot as ever. I didn't know what to do and it was hurting me to see him in so much pain. I took his temperature and he was 100.5, that was it, I'm taking him to the hospital.I had to call August and let him know. "Hello August" "Yeah Sabrina, what is it" he answered his words slurred and he sounded really tired. "I have to take Christian to the hospital. I think he has a fever" "A-alright I'll meet you there " "August are you drunk" "Don't worry about it'' he said as he hung up. I shook my head and got ready to take Christian to the hospital.
As I was walking to the back to have Christian examined August called my name loud as hell. "SABRINA!" " August why are you calling me in here all loud lower your voice" I said pulling him by his collar which was extremely hard because he was so much taller than me. "I'm sorrryyyyy baby" he slurred. Oh god he reeked of alcohol and beer. I pulled his chin to look into his eyes to see if they were red. To my luck they were meaning he was high too. I could've slapped him but Christian was in my arms whimpering and he needed my attention. We walked to the back with August barely keeping up. I was so embarrassed. I walked into Dr. Wells examination room where he took off Christian clothes, but left his diaper on. He started feeling on Christian to see what was wrong and took his temperature. " Christian will be fine just has a slight fever. Because he is so young I'd like it if we kept him over night to simmer his fever and get him back to normal." "Are you sure everything is okay" I said pushing back Christian's curly hair and he started crying again. My poor baby. "He'll be fine Mrs. Alsina, we'll take good care of him come and pick him at 12 tomorrow ok." "Will do and call me if anything happens I mean anything and I'm not his wife" I said pointing at August who was playing with the bones in the corner. The doctor and I laughed at him when it fell down and he tried to fix it but instead he fell over too. I walked over to him and helped him up. " Come on August let's get you home" "Yes ma'am" he said as he stood up with me helping him. We walked over to Christian and I kissed him on the lips as August kissed him on the forehead. " Get better little man" "Come on" ''ok" We walked out of the building and to his car. There was no way I was letting him drive. I went in his pocket searching for his keys. "Whoa Sabrina what you doing" "Don't play give me your keys" "Here" he said getting them out of his back pocket. " Get on the other side. He stumbled to the other side and got in.
We pulled up to his house and got out. I walked to the door and unlocked it. "August would you hurry up" He started laughing and took even longer to get in the house. I closed the door behind him and went into the kitchen with August following me. I bent over to get a water out the refrigerator and August came behind me and gripped my waist. "You know you got one of the fattest asses I've ever seen. I quickly stood up and handed him the water bottle. I grabbed his collar so he could come upstairs to the bathroom where I would give him an asprin and start a shower for him. "Take the asprin, take a shower and brush your teeth I'll make you breakfast ok" I started walking out but he grabbed my wrist. "Why don't you join" I pulled my wrist from his grip and shut the door. "Take a shower and do what I said August" I yelled over the door. I heard him groan and went downstairs to start on his breakfast.
''August your food is ready '' I said as I walked in his room that was completely trashed with bottles everywhere. He was laying on his bed watching ESPN. '' What happened in here'' ''Nothing come on'' he said trying to push me out. ''No you go I'll clean this up'' ''Thank you'' he said walking downstairs to his food. ''Let's get started''
After thirty minutes I was done and August was coming back upstairs. ''You did that quick" "I know huh" I said laying down. "You sober now" "Yea I'm still a little buzzed but I'm sober" "Why would you do that" "Last night after you left I wasn't thinking right and I kind of just blew up" " Something could've happened to you" "You'd care ?" "Why do you think I wouldn't" "I don't know maybe because I was about to pour my heart out to you last night and you rejected" "I didn't reject you I just couldn't take it anymore" "Take what " "The lies. August you don't love me you just didn't want me to go" "Why do you think I would lie to you about something so serious" "I mean this whole time you've basically been lying to me thinking Christian wasn't yours" "Ugh Sabrina I was tripping last night I didn't mean it. Of course he's mine he looks just like me when I was a baby." "You can't say something like that and expect it to be ok" "I know and I'm sorry" "Alright" "So where does this leave us" "What do you mean " "I want to be with you Sabrina and it took you leaving me to realize just how lost I am without you. I mean you were only gone a day and you see how bad I got. Imagine if I'm like that all the time. The house is empty without you and Christian. I don't want that " "I don't know what to say" "Don't say anything just come back to me. I need you" he said kissing my forehead. He didn't stop there. As he got on top of me kissed my neck, collar bone, trailing all the way done to the peak of my breast. I immediately responded wrapping my legs around his waist and trapping him with my hands rubbing through his hair. This felt so good. " Come back to me Sabrina" he said staring into my eyes. I've never felt our connection be any stronger. I nodded my head being lost for words and wanting him to continue with this forbidden dance of ours. "What do want from me baby girl. I'll do anything" he said kissing my neck in all the right places. "I want you inside of me, right now" I whispered in his ear. "Please" I begged. "I've waited so long for you to say those exact words to me" he said before obliged to my wishes. I love this man.
