Sabrina

I was finally about to meet up with Jessica today and I was everything but excited. I didn't want to hear her lie to me. Just two hours ago Detective Burns had informed me on some new information that had me out of it. I didn't know how I would survive sitting at this table with her.

I was sitting in the Cafe where I had recently discussed with Jessica that we'd meet when she pulled out her chair and sat down. She gave me a fake smile then said, "Hey Sabrina. How you been" all with fake excitement. "I've been fine. How have you been " "I've been great. I found a new job, I've moved into a new place, and I might be seeing someone" she said to me. I looked at her confused. "Wow, it doesn't even seem like you're worried about Jayden. Usually moms are the ones that take it the hardest" I said getting right to the point. She suddenly wore a shocked expression as if she had been caught in something. But what ? " Uh um, I am taking it hard. I'd rather not broadcast it though. Besides if August would give me the money I'm sure I could get him back." She said drinking some of the tea she had ordered. "Jessica how are you so sure that giving them the money will get Jayden back. How do you even know who them is " I said emphasizing on them. She looked down quick as if she had nothing more to say. "This is my theory, and correct me if I'm wrong. I think you wrote up that ransom note and staged a kidnapping just so August could pay you. But then I started to think, why would you even need that money. See I finally got my answer when I got a detective involved. Yeah he informed me on your little past with some drug dealer you used to be involved with. It turns out whoever the drug dealers is hates you just as much as I do and all it took was for the detective to call him in, inform him on the situation and he sang like a canary. He admitted that you stole over 30,000 dollars from him and you owed him big time. When we told him what you had suspected that you did he was more than helpful and told us where Jayden might be. Now of course you know me I couldn't just let him walk off without getting nothing in return so I paid him about 20,000 just so he could get back on his feet. Oh yeah and we have Jayden so just in case you were wondering he's in good hands. I guess the moral of this story is don't ever mess with my family " I said sipping on my water. She sat there expressionless as if she had seen a ghost. "Family ? What family Sabrina. Jayden is my child" I didn't even let her finish. "Your child ? Do you know that leaving a baby in a warehouse unattended is deadly. He's currently in the hospital suffering from malnutrition. I would think you could at least feed YOUR CHILD if you're going to pull a stunt like that. He would've died if he would've been there any longer. You call yourself a mother. You do know you're going to jail right ? I'm surprised someone as devious as yourself hasn't already been." As soon as I said that the police, including Detective Burns, walked in and started reading her her rights. She had the nerve to start crying as they escorted her out. How could someone do that to their child and for what ? Money ?

I stood from my seat and headed to my car so I could go to the hospital. August was already up there and I had called him and told him I'd meet up with him after I situated Jessica. I got in my car and a new smile formed on my face. I know I shouldn't be happy but I was. I was glad she'd finally be getting what she'd deserved.

I pulled into the hospital and headed for the room August and I had for Jayden. "Hey how's he doing" I asked August as I walked in and say in the chair next to him. I took my shoes off and wiggled my toes. They were so swollen and achy. "They say he's improving but it's going to take a while for him to fully recover but he's going to survive" he said looking straight ahead. "What's up with you" by the look on his face I could easily tell something was bothering him. "You know when they brought him in they needed a blood donor and you know me being his father I was sure I was going to be a match. I'm A positive he's B positive. They said that it was kind of weird with me being the father and all that we didn't have the same blood type so they ran an emergency paternity test." I was shocked by the news and knew what was about to leave his mouth and it broke my heart. "Jayden isn't mine"
