The next day I woke up in Jay's arms. It felt amazing and relaxing and for a moment I just stared at his face. He did the cutest little pouting thing with his lips while sleeping. I moved my fingers around his lips, flicking them. He started to stir in his sleep and soon was up.
" Why you bothering me while I'm sleeping baby." he said blinking slowly. "No reason. You're just so precious" I said kissing his nose and standing up. "Where you going so soon" "So soon ? It's 12 o'clock. Did you forget I have a business, baby, and other things to take care of. As much fun as it would be to hang around with you all day, I can't" I said kissing his lips. "When will I see you again" he asked sitting up on his hand. "Depends. How long you gone be down here" "Well I'm down here for two more months. You should know that since I'm recording at your studio" he said laughing. "Hey don't forget I'm pregnant, I forget things" I said pouting. "No don't you forget your pregnant. You need to calm down a bit baby you're doing too much" "Yeah yeah but when I calm down things don't get did. I'll be fine baby I promise." "You better" he said walking me to the door. "Alright call me when you come to the studio ok?" "Alright baby. I'll see you later" he said leaning down and kissing me.
I pulled into Rhena and Trey's place to get Christian. I knew she was going to kill me for leaving him all day and not telling her. I hadn't planned to stay overnight it just happened.
" Rhena, Trey, I'm here" I said yelling as I walked in. "In the kitchen" somebody said. I walked to the kitchen and saw August feeding Christian. "Hey Auggy what you doing here" I said sitting down at the breakfast bar stool. "I've been here since yesterday when you left. Why won't you let Christian stay with me" he asked wiping his face off with his bib. "You're going through so much and we both know how big of a hassle he can be. I just don't want that extra stress on you" I said scratching my hair. It's really time for me to get it done. "I don't care what I'm going through he's still my child I can watch him. It's my job too. You baby me more than you baby Christian I'm gone be alright Sabrina I promise" he said picking Christian up and kissing me on the cheek. "You know it's just my nature to take care of the ones I love I can't help it. I guess I was born to be a mom" "Yeah you right about that one. Where were you last night anyway" " With Jay. He planned somethings last night and I ended up staying with him." August face kind of frowned when I told him that. In fact, he walked off. "So while I'm watching our son you're out doing unnecessary shit with your lil boyfriend. You need to get yo priorities straight" he yelled as he walked out the door. I swear he had the weirdest mood swings. I wasn't worried about him though, I left their house and headed for my old condo so I could get dressed for the day.
When I walked in I made a beeline for the bathroom that had a closet attached to it. I set my outfit out which consisted of tan red bottoms. boyfriend jeans, a cream leotard and a soft pink blazer. I put my hair up in a bun and curled my bang and applied light makeup to give myself the baby face look. I stared at myself in the mirror and was pleased with what I saw. Even though my top was skin tight, and my stomach showed heavily through it, I felt the pregnant look was cute on me. I left out and headed for the studio. I had to do inventory and meet Jay. I wasn't gone lie I was excited to see him, but I had this gut feeling we were moving too fast. On the other hand I couldn't help the pace, he made me feel so good. For once I didn't have to take care of somebody, they were taking care of me. I was interrupted by my thoughts when my phone rung.
" Hello am I speaking with a Sabrina" "You are, may I ask who's calling" "Yes it's Detective Burns I was just calling to tell you that we have a MAJOR lead." I started smiling instantly . "Ok well what's new" "Alright well we ran the name for the mother you gave us and it turns she has a quite bit of a past. In fact, I know exactly who would've had a motive to take the baby. " "Are you kidding me this is great news. How long will it be until we can get him back" "Well we have to scope out the person who could've taken him and see if they did. In the meantime I need you to talk with this Jessica person about it and see what she knows ok ?" "Alright anything else" "Yes come by the station and tell me what she says tomorrow ok" "Alright thank you Detective Burns. This means so much to me" "Anytime sweetheart" and with that he ended the call. That was just the boost I needed to get the day started.
I pulled into the studio and got straight to business with no help from Rhena. Where was she today ? She wasn't at the house earlier and now she's not at work. I'll call her later and see what's going on but now I had to head to Jays session and see him.
I walked in and seen a couple of girls, chicken, and weed being smoked by some of his entourage. One of the girls dropped down in front of the guys that were smoking and sucked his dick. All this was going on while Jay was in the booth rapping. This shit was so cliche and disgusting. "Um excuse me, can y'all put those out. I'm pregnant and it's against the law to smoke in Georgia." "Bitch if you got a problem then leave" the man getting his dick sucked said. "Ok I would leave but I'm the owner of this fucking building. Don't talk to me like that. The hell's. Wrong with you" I said scrunching my face."My bad ma I didn't mean no harm. Just joking around" he said pushing the girl off of him and putting the blunt away. "Thank you" I said and smiled at them. I walked all the way in and seen Jay coming out the booth. My heart jumped at the sight of him. "Hey baby" he said walking over to me and embracing me in his arms. Ohhhh he felt good. "Hey Jay. How's everything going." I said kissing him. "Everything's better now that you here. Come here let me show you something." He walked me to the board and let me hear this beat. "My manager told me I should write something for the ladies to this beat but I have no inspiration. Wanna help?" I nodded stupidly. I've always wanted to write a song and now that I could and with Jay it just seemed perfect. My phone started ringing again. "Hello" I said to whoever was on the other line. "Hey Sabrina, I'm at the studio but yo receptionist won't let me go back cause I don't have an appointment. Can you come walk me down ?" August asked me. "Uhhh yeah I'll be there in two seconds hold on." I said and hung up the phone. "Hey I gotta go walk August down here I'll be right back" I said getting up to go to the door. "Alright hurry back baby"
"It's about time what took you so long" August said playing around. "I was already in a session with Jay. Where'd you leave Christian?" "With his babysitter that we never use" he said laughing. It was true we never left him with her anymore. "Umm Veronica go ahead and put him on the bypass list. He won't ever need to schedule for appointments" I said to the receptionist. "Yes ma'am." She said writing it down. "Come on August let me show you your official room. You're the only person who has one. I got it specially put in for you." "Oh word ain't that sweet. My baby mama got a room for me when I want to put down some shit." he said teasing me. "Ew don't call me no baby mama. I'm just Sabrina to you" I said laughing. "Aye let me go meet yo lil boyfriend. I wanna size him up real quick" "August I don't need you running him away" "I'm not gone run him away. I just need to see what his intentions are with you" "You promise to behave" I said pointing at him. "Yea I promise" I walked him down to the room where Jay was and walked in. "Why I smell weed and sex. They been smoking round you" he asked pointing at Jays entourage and the few girls they brought along. "Yeah but I handled it. Calm down. Jay I got somebody here that I want you to meet." I said getting Jay's attention. He turned and his smile quickly dropped. "What you want me to meet this nigga for." he said and turned back around to work on his song. "Jay it's important y'all meet. He's in my life as much as you are and I want y'all to get along now get up and meet him." I said trying to make sure everyone kept their angers checked. " Naw why the fuck he being so disrespectful" August said. I should've known he'd pop off. " Disrespectful ? I know yo sorry ass ain't talking bout no disrespectful. Who the fuck cheats on they pregnant girlfriend with the next bitch and then at yo mama house and in her own establishment but nigga I'm disrespectful ? Get this nigga out of here Sabrina" Jay said standing from his chair. I put my hands on his chest trying to calm him. "Really Sabrina. So you round here telling him my business and shit. And nigga ain't none of that shit had anything to do with you so why the fuck you voicing yo opinion on it" August said moving me out the way and getting in his face. August had a couple inches on him but Jay wasn't letting up. "I'm gone tell you one more time to get the fuck out my session nigga" That's when all hell broke loose. August swung on Jay and his entourage ran over and started jumping him. I freaked and started screaming. "Get off of him, stop it" I said kicking them with my heels. I was not about to let five niggas jump him. One of them grabbed my leg and pulled me down and my head hit the ground with a loud thud. All I heard was two voices yell baby before I was completely out.
